Key Responsibilities  
Power BI Reporting  
- Prepare data using Power Query (M) and design clean semantic models.
 
 
- Write efficient DAX for trusted KPIs. 
- Skilled in writing and optimising SQL queries for data extraction and joins.
 
 
- Create user-friendly reports with effective visuals and accessibility.
 
 
- Optimise performance for lean, fast datasets.
 
 
- Manage refreshes, gateways, and resolve issues quickly.
 
 
- Implement RLS, control permissions, and maintain documentation.
 
 
Automation & Integrations  
- Build reliable Power Automate flows with error handling and monitoring.
 
 
- Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation business-critical process, ETL, and data transformation, ensuring reliability and scalability of data pipelines underpinning reports and apps; schedule and monitor jobs.
 
 
- Develop SQL ETL processes to cleanse, transform, and deliver reliable data pipelines supporting reporting and automation.
 
 
- Securely connect and automate REST APIs across systems.
 
 
- Govern Power Apps ALM with least-privilege access.
 
 
Reliability, Security & Compliance  
- Embed security, compliance, and risk controls in processes.
 
 
- Monitor automations and integrations; set alerts and ensure quick recovery.
 
 
- Continuously improve by addressing incidents and automating prevention.
 
 
CI/CD, Quality & Collaboration  
- Use Git for code standards, branching, and automated deployment.
 
 
- Manage tasks, prioritise SLAs, communicate updates, and track work.
 
 
- Document standards, provide guides, and run enablement sessions.
 
 
Requirements  
Experience 
- 3-4+ years in Systems, DevOps, or Platform engineering, ideally within an MSP or multi-client environment.
 
 
- Proven delivery of Power BI reporting (modelling, DAX, Power Query, performance optimisation, refresh reliability, security).
 
 
- Hands-on experience designing and operating Power Automate flows for business-critical processes.
 
 
- Hands-on experience developing and maintaining Python scripts for automation of business-critical processes and data transformation.
 
 
- Practical experience with Power Apps, including solution packaging, environment management, and connector governance.
 
 
- Practical experience with SQL ETL, integrating REST APIs, and working with Git-based workflows and CI/CD.
 
 
- Demonstrated commitment to security, compliance, and operational excellence.
 
 
- Reliable and self-driven, able to deliver quality outcomes on time with minimal supervision.
 
 
- Strong communicator who can translate technical details into clear, simple language for diverse stakeholders.
 
 
Core Skills 
- Power BI  – Advanced reporting, DAX, Power Query (M), and data visualization.
 
 
- Power Platform  – Hands-on experience with Power Automate and Power Apps for workflow and app development.
 
 
- APIs  – Strong understanding of REST API authentication, integration, and custom build.
 
 
- Data & BI  – Solid grasp of data modelling, governance, and business intelligence principles.
 
 
- Python  – Used for ETL, automation, and data process optimization.
 
 
- SQL  – Proficient in designing, writing, and optimizing queries.
 
 
- AI Tools  – Experience with GitHub Co-pilot and prompt-driven development.
 
 
- Operating Systems  – Competent in Linux and Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
 
 
- Version Control  – Proficient with Git for source management and collaboration.
 
 
- Microsoft Ecosystem  – Familiar with SharePoint and Microsoft 365
