Youll start by troubleshooting and maintaining<br/><br/>developer workstations, servers, and network equipment across Linux, macOS, and Windows.
As you gain domain knowledge, youll take ownership of automation, monitoring, capacity planning, and operational procedures that keep our engineering, validation and data platforms running smoothly.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues across Linux, macOS, and Windows environments (hardware, OS, network, SSH, storage access, etc.).<br/><br/>- Operate and maintain on-prem enterprise hardware : servers, racks, switches, firewalls, and storage systems.<br/><br/>- Administer on-prem Active Directory and related identity/access services for Windows and Linux systems.<br/><br/>- Create and maintain scripts and automation to onboard machines, manage configurations, and streamline common tasks.<br/><br/>- Build and operate monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana or equivalents) to track system health and service SLAs.<br/><br/>- Manage container workflows and CI/CD pipelines (Docker, Jenkins or equivalent).<br/><br/>- Support cloud services and SaaS tooling (AWS fundamentals, Microsoft 365, Jira administration).<br/><br/>- Perform backups, recovery drills, and contribute to disaster recovery planning.<br/><br/>- Maintain asset inventory, vendor relationships, and procurement coordination for IT hardware.<br/><br/>- Document runbooks, SOPs, and change-control procedures; collaborate closely with engineering teams.<br/><br/><b>Required skills & attributes :</b><br/><br/>- Strong interest in computer systems and practical troubleshooting skills.<br/><br/>- Comfortable working across Linux, macOS, and Windows environments.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with on-prem Active Directory and identity management concepts.<br/><br/>- Scripting and automation experience (PowerShell, POSIX shell/bash, Python, Ansible or similar).<br/><br/>- Basic networking knowledge (routing, switching, VLANs, firewall fundamentals, SSH tunnelling).<br/><br/>- Experience with containers (Docker) and basic CI/CD pipeline concepts (Jenkins or equivalent).<br/><br/>- Hands-on with monitoring and observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, or similar).<br/><br/>- Good written and verbal communication able to explain technical issues to engineers and non-technical stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Self-driven, able to independently diagnose and resolve day- to-day operational issues.<br/><br/><b>Nice-to-have (highly desirable) :</b><br/><br/>- Prior exposure to data-centre operations and rack-level hardware maintenance.<br/><br/> <br/><br/>- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and configuration management at scale.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with Linux kernel basics, device drivers, or low-level hardware debugging.<br/><br/>- Experience administering or operating AWS services in production.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of security best practices, vulnerability remediation, and incident response workflows.<br/><br/><b>What We Offer :</b><br/><br/>- Hands-on work with enterprise hardware, data-centre environments, and large datasets.<br/><br/>- Exposure to cutting-edge technologies across AI, compilers, hardware, and systems software.<br/><br/>- A collaborative, growth-oriented environment with opportunities to work on diverse problems (compiler design, hardware drivers, AI systems, etc.).<br/><br/>- Professional development, learning opportunities, and a chance to make measurable impact on product and operations.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
