  Job Description 
 The Digital Network Solution Architect L2 is responsible for designing and developing digital network solutions for a variety of customer projects across all market verticals.
They will use their product knowledge and interface between technology and technical service as well as research to recommend the most suitable solutions for each customer.
  They will work closely with the regional sales and programs teams to define requirements and deliverables for a successful solution implementation.
  The network Solution Manager is part of the digital team, working closely with Sales, Products & Technology, Program Management, Service, Distributors, and overall business management to deliver successful pursuit outcomes.
This role also requires deep engagement with 3rd party providers of software and hardware from time to time to develop a turnkey solution that complements our capabilities and expands the market share for Smiths Detection 
  Duties & Responsibilities 
  Responsibilities:   
   Pre-Sales Support – bids, tenders, and pursuits   
   Providing material and documentation support for tender submissions   Design and develop digital network solutions that meet customer requirements.
  Research and recommend the most suitable solutions for each customer.
  Generate high level network, concept, and solution drawings   Generate high level scope statements and implementation plans for digital solutions   Provide VM requirements documentation based on the site/solution requirements   Provide HW requirements documentation and part numbers (if available) based on the site/solution requirements for cost estimation   Translating requirements into an architecture that forms the basis of a solution     Programs Support   
   Support programs is finalizing scope and implementation documentation for digital solutions   Generate network and solution diagrams   Defining prerequisites for solution deployment   Facilitate and support the generation of matrix routing configuration   Support with SPOE tickets associated with digital solutions   Support in cyber security documentation associated with the deployment of digital solutions   Supporting programs/projects in design and planning   Interfacing with R&D to resolve possible quality issues out of service’s scope   Peer review network drawings, architecture and plans for project teams     Solution and Market Feedback to business   
   Monitor and analyze deployed digital solutions for their performance, relevant and suitability in an evolving environment   Develop and maintain the solutions from a products perspective   Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and industry standards.
  Provide new market and regulatory requirements information to the relevant product management teams   Supporting market research efforts, collecting information about potential markets, customers, and competitive products as well as the likelihood and risks of anticipated market developments   Developing relationships with 3rd party suppliers   Supporting the selection of the most appropriate products- research and evaluate new technologies/products that could form part of a solution   Complying with and ensuring compliance with company HSE policies   The Individual 
  Skills and Experience:   
   Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  Deep knowledge of Smiths Detection’s products and their capabilities   Knowledge of security best practices and industry standards.
  Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  Experience and in-depth knowledge in solution design   Knowledge of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, and HTTP.
  Broad experience and understanding of detection technologies and their application   Experience in IT environments and network solutions    Knowledge of security operations, relevant regulations   MS Office Access, AutoCAD and Visio also preferred   Working knowledge of SAP
