<p><p><b>Job Title : </b> API Testing Engineer<br/><br/><b>Experience : </b> 68 years<br/><br/><b>Contract Duration : </b> 612 months (with possible extensions)<br/><br/><b>Location : </b> Preferred Onsite (Bengaluru) / Open to Remote<br/><br/><b>Working Hours : </b> 12 : 00 PM IST 10 : 00 PM IST<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities (KRA) : </b><br/><br/></p><p>- Design, develop, and execute API test cases (manual and automation) to ensure robust functionality.<br/><br/></p><p>- Validate API specifications using tools such as Swagger and Postman.<br/><br/></p><p>- Build and maintain automated API test frameworks using RestSharp, Playwright, or similar tools.<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform end-to-end testing across API, Web/UI, and database layers.<br/><br/></p><p>- Conduct regression, integration, and performance testing for APIs.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to resolve defects and improve test coverage.<br/><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Write and execute SQL queries for backend validation and data integrity checks.<br/><br/></p><p>- Document test cases, test results, and ensure compliance with defined quality standards.<br/><br/></p><p>- Drive continuous improvement in test strategy, automation coverage, and efficiency.<br/><br/></p><p>- Support defect triage, RCA, and provide detailed defect reports for quick resolution.<br/><br/><b>Required Skillsets : </b><br/><br/></p><p>- Strong expertise in API testing (manual + automation).<br/><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience with Postman, Swagger, RestSharp, and Playwright.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in designing automation frameworks for API and UI testing.<br/><br/></p><p>- Solid knowledge of SQL database queries and validation techniques.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in testing web applications and user interfaces.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and authentication mechanisms.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of test automation.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
