                         Job Title : Electrical and Electronics Engineer (2 Positions) 
Location : GITAM (Deemed to be University), Doddaballapura, Bengaluru 
Experience : 1–3 years 
Qualification : B.E. / B.Tech in Electronics or related discipline 
Position Overview:  
We are seeking enthusiastic and skilled Electrical & Electronics Engineers with hands-on 
experience in electronics design, testing, and product development, along with a strong 
passion for teaching and mentoring engineering students.
This role involves working on innovative technology projects while guiding students in 
STEM-based learning, prototyping, and applied research across electronics, embedded 
systems, and mechanical design domains.
Responsibilities 
 Ideate, design, assembly and test electronic circuits and systems for product development.
 Work with components such as resistors, capacitors, diodes, transistors, and 
microcontrollers.
 Develop, modify, and debug embedded code for microcontrollers (Arduino, Raspberry 
Pi, ESP32, etc.).
 Integrate and calibrate various sensors (temperature, pressure, motion, etc.) ensuring 
accurate performance.
 Participate in PCB fabrication, soldering (including SMT) and prototype testing.
 Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of circuits and systems.
 Support mechanical design and prototyping using CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or 
Fusion 360).
 Operate 3D printers and CNC machines for rapid prototyping and component 
fabrication.
 Assemble mechanical systems involving motors, gears, shafts, and other components.
 Conduct testing and evaluation of mechanical prototypes for reliability and durability.
 Safely handle and operate hand and power tools (drills, saws, grinders, etc.) during 
fabrication.
 Maintain and calibrate lab instruments, tools, and testing equipment in good working 
condition.
 Train and mentor engineering students in electronics, embedded systems, and 
interdisciplinary STEM projects.
 Conduct hands-on demonstrations, workshops and lab sessions on circuit design, 
sensors, programming, and prototyping.
 Guide students in design thinking, innovation and project development, aligned with 
institutional competitions and initiatives.
 Develop STEM-based learning modules, tutorials, and instructional materials.
 Supervise and evaluate student project progress, providing technical and conceptual 
feedback.
 Promote innovation, creativity and problem-solving through interactive and 
experiential learning methods.
 Support institutional initiatives such as capstone projects, hackathons, innovation 
fairs, and exhibitions.
 Collaborate with faculty to integrate practical STEM applications into academic 
coursework.
 Maintain documentation of student activities, attendance and project outcomes.
 Support administrative tasks, internal audits and documentation, ensuring proper lab 
organization and safety.
 Prepare study materials, technical reports, and presentation slides for students and 
institutional use.
Skills and Competencies 
 Strong foundation in electronics, programming, and embedded systems.
 Hands-on experience with Arduino, ESP32, sensors, motors, and circuit development.
 Familiarity with virtual design and simulation tools such as Tinkercad, Proteus, 
MATLAB, or Arduino IDE.
 Proficiency in PCB design tools (Eagle, Altium, or KiCAD) and soldering techniques.
 Familiarity with CAD tools (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Fusion 360) for mechanical 
design and prototyping.
 Experience using sensors and electronic testing instruments (oscilloscope, multimeter, 
etc.).
 Creative problem-solving, mentoring, and communication skills.
 Ability to engage and inspire students through interactive and project-based teaching.
 Experience with STEM-based educational kits, innovation challenges, or hands-on 
student projects is a plus.
 Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for documentation and reporting.
 Excellent communication and instructional skills with a student-centric teaching 
approach.
 Ability to manage laboratories, conduct workshops, and support institutional STEM 
initiatives.
 Prior experience in teaching, training, or mentoring engineering students is desirable.
 Exposure to Maker culture, Hackathons, or Startup incubation programs is 
advantageous.
 Basic knowledge of AI, ML, or Python programming will be beneficial.
