About the Role
We are hiring an experienced Electrical, Instrumentation & Automation Engineer for an edible oil refinery commissioning project in Qatar.
This is a contract-based, on-site role, suitable for professionals with a strong background in refinery or process plant automation, control systems, and electrical systems commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and execute electrical, instrumentation, and automation commissioning activities as per project standards and schedules.
- Perform testing, calibration, and loop checking of PLCs, MCCs, VFDs, transmitters, sensors, and field instruments.
- Integrate and troubleshoot automation systems (PLC/SCADA/DCS) for process equipment and utilities.
- Review and verify loop drawings, P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and control logic.
- Conduct system validation, FAT/SAT, and documentation for commissioning and handover.
- Ensure adherence to electrical safety, QA/QC standards, and refinery HSE guidelines.
- Prepare as-built documentation, calibration certificates, and performance test reports.
Requirements
- Education: B.Tech/ M.Tech in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience: 10–15 years in E&I Automation commissioning for edible oil refineries, food processing, or FMCG process plants.
- Proven expertise in PLC/SCADA/DCS integration, field automation, and control systems.
- Strong understanding of refinery process operations, interlocks, and safety systems.
- Excellent coordination, documentation, and troubleshooting skills.
- Prior Qatar/GCC experience preferred.
Contract Details
Duration: 12–18 months (extendable)
Compensation: Competitive (based on experience)
