<p><p><b>Description :</b></p><br/><p><b>Job Summary :</b><br/><br/>We are looking for an experienced Embedded Firmware Engineer with hands-on expertise in RTOS and VxWorks.
The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and debugging firmware for embedded systems, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.</p><br/><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Design, develop, and maintain embedded firmware for real-time systems.<br/><br/>- Work extensively on RTOS platforms, specifically VxWorks.<br/><br/>- Develop, test, and optimize low-level drivers and board support packages (BSPs).<br/><br/>- Collaborate with hardware, software, and QA teams for system integration.<br/><br/>- Perform debugging, unit testing, and issue resolution using tools like JTAG, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.<br/><br/>- Contribute to architecture design, code reviews, and technical documentation.<br/><br/>- Ensure compliance with performance, safety, and quality standards in embedded products.</p><br/><p><b>Required Technical Skills :</b><br/><br/>- 4 years of experience in Embedded Firmware development<br/><br/>- Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming for embedded systems<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with VxWorks RTOS<br/><br/>- Experience with RTOS concepts: task scheduling, interrupts, semaphores, timers, IPC<br/><br/>- Experience with low-level programming, device drivers, and board bring-up<br/><br/>- Familiarity with communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, etc.<br/><br/>- Experience with debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, Lauterbach, GDB)</p><br/><p><b>Nice to Have (Optional) :</b><br/><br/>- Experience with other RTOS (FreeRTOS, QNX, ThreadX, etc.)<br/><br/>- Exposure to embedded Linux<br/><br/>- Knowledge of bootloaders and BSP customization<br/><br/>- Experience with version control tools like Git<br/><br/>- Knowledge of safety-critical or aerospace/defense standards</p><br/><p><b>Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, or related field</p><br/><p><b>Behavioral Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities<br/><br/>- Good communication and documentation skills<br/><br/>- Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams<br/><br/>- Attention to detail and commitment to quality</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
