<p><p><b>Position Overview : </b><br/><br/></p><p>We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead / Sr. Engineering Lead with strong expertise in Java, Microservices, and Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure/GCP).
This role requires both technical leadership and hands-on development skills, as well as the ability to mentor teams, architect scalable solutions, and drive end-to-end project execution.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a passion for building high-performance engineering Responsibilities : </b></p><b><p><b><br/></b></p>Technical Leadership : </b><br/><br/></p><p>- Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance applications using Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices architecture.<br/><br/></p><p>- Define technical roadmaps, best practices, and coding standards for the engineering team.<br/><br/></p><p>- Evaluate and recommend cloud-native solutions (AWS, Azure, or GCP) to improve scalability, availability, and resilience.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure architecture aligns with business needs, security policies, and compliance standards.<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform code reviews, technical design reviews, and architecture assessments to ensure quality Management & Collaboration : </b></p><p><br/></p>- Mentor, coach, and guide a team of engineers Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and ownership within the team.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with product managers, architects, and stakeholders to define project requirements and timelines.<br/><br/></p><p>- Facilitate Agile/Scrum ceremonies and drive engineering & Delivery : </b></p><br/></p><p>- Lead end-to-end software development lifecycle : design, development, testing, deployment, and support.<br/><br/></p><p>- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Troubleshoot complex production issues, optimize performance, and ensure system reliability.<br/><br/></p><p>- Drive DevOps practices, observability, and monitoring Skills & Qualifications : </b></p><p><br/></p>- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.<br/><br/></p><p>- 8 to 12 years of experience in software development, with at least 3+ years in a lead/architect role.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices.<br/><br/></p><p>- Deep understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including cloud-native services.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in RESTful APIs, Event-driven architecture, and Messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab).<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven ability to lead teams, drive technical discussions, and influence stakeholders.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making Skills : </b></p><p><br/></p>- Experience with Serverless computing (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions, GCP Cloud Functions).<br/><br/></p><p>- Exposure to AI/ML model integration within cloud environments.<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of GraphQL, gRPC, or API Gateway patterns.<br/><br/></p><p>- Prior experience in building enterprise-scale SaaS applications.<br/><br/></p><p>- Certifications in Cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) or Architecture (TOGAF, etc.) will be an added We Offer : </b></p><br/></p><p>- Leadership opportunity to own large-scale engineering initiatives.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work with modern cloud-native architectures and cutting-edge technologies.<br/><br/></p><p>- A culture that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.<br/><br/></p><p>- Competitive compensation and benefits.<br/><br/></p><p>- Career advancement opportunities into Architect / Director roles</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
