The role combines technical leadership, project delivery, and people management, with a strong focus on building scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems.<br/><br/>The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep technical expertise, proven experience in managing teams, and the ability to align engineering initiatives with business goals.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/><b>Technical Leadership :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Drive the design, architecture, and development of scalable, maintainable software systems.<br/><br/></p><p>- Provide hands-on technical guidance and contribute to the codebase when needed.<br/><br/></p><p>- Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices in code quality, testing, and DevOps.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with product managers and tech leads to translate business needs into technical Delivery :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Partner with project managers to deliver projects on time and within scope.<br/><br/></p><p>- Identify and remove technical/process blockers to ensure smooth delivery.<br/><br/></p><p>- Define and monitor engineering KPIs to measure and improve reliability.<br/><br/></p><p>- Lead root cause analysis and post-incident Management :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Mentor and coach engineers, supporting career growth and skill development.<br/><br/></p><p>- Conduct regular 1 :1s, performance reviews, and provide actionable feedback.<br/><br/></p><p>- Support hiring and onboarding to build a strong engineering team.<br/><br/></p><p>- Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance team culture.<br/><br/><b>Requirements :</b><br/><br/>- 10 to 15 years of professional experience in software development.<br/><br/></p><p>- At least 8 years hands-on coding experience.<br/><br/></p><p>- Minimum 2 years in an engineering leadership/management role.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven track record of mentoring, coaching, and building engineering teams.<br/><br/></p><p>- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Masters/MBA is a plus).<br/><br/><b>Technical Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Proficiency in at least one backend language : Node.js, Python, Go, or Java.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with frontend frameworks : React, Angular, or Vue.js.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, distributed systems, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with DevOps practices : CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code.<br/><br/><b>Leadership Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Ability to lead complex technical discussions and resolve issues effectively.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience working in fast-paced, agile environments with multiple priorities.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
