You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, operations, and compliance, to drive product development from ideation to execution.<br/><br/>Your leadership will be key in building a high-performing engineering team, fostering innovation, and ensuring the scalability and security of our payment systems.<br/><br/>This is a senior leadership role that combines strategic vision, technical expertise, and team management skills.<br/><br/>You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the future of the company and the prepaid payment Responsibilities :</b></p><br/><b>Leadership & Team Management :</b><br/><br/>- Lead, mentor, and grow a diverse engineering team focused on designing and building innovative prepaid payment solutions.<br/><br/>- Drive a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.<br/><br/>- Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics to ensure engineering teams are aligned with business objectives.<br/><br/>- Manage resource allocation and prioritize engineering projects to ensure timely and efficient delivery of products and Planning & Execution :</b></p><br/>- Develop and execute a comprehensive engineering strategy that supports the company's overall vision and business goals.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with senior leadership (Product, Marketing, Operations, Legal, and Compliance) to align on priorities and ensure successful execution of new products, features, and enhancements.<br/><br/>- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements to ensure our solutions remain competitive and Oversight & Innovation :</b></p><br/>- Provide technical direction and oversight on the design and architecture of the company's prepaid payment platform.<br/><br/>- Ensure that all solutions are secure, scalable, and capable of handling large transaction volumes and diverse payment types.<br/><br/>- Lead the team in adopting best practices in software development, system architecture, and cybersecurity.<br/><br/>- Implement and improve agile methodologies to enhance team efficiency, code quality, and Management & Compliance :</b></p><br/>- Ensure that engineering solutions comply with relevant industry standards, security protocols, and financial regulations (i.e., PCI DSS, GDPR, etc.)<br/><br/>- Work closely with the legal and compliance teams to understand regulatory requirements and ensure technical solutions are designed with compliance in mind.<br/><br/>- Manage risk mitigation strategies related to technology, security, and operational Metrics & Reporting :</b></p><p><br/>- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance and success of engineering initiatives.</p><br/>- Provide regular updates to senior management on engineering team performance, product development progress, and key milestones.<br/><br/>- Establish and enforce high standards for quality assurance, code reviews, testing, and :</b><br/><br/>- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.<br/><br/>- MBA or equivalent business management qualification is a :</b></p><p><br/>- At least 10 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership or management role, preferably in the fintech or payments industry.</p><br/>- Proven experience in managing and scaling engineering teams and driving product delivery in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of payment systems, including prepaid cards, digital wallets, transaction processing, and related technologies.<br/><br/>- In-depth knowledge of software development methodologies, cloud infrastructure, data security, and compliance frameworks in the financial services :</b><br/><br/>- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with executives, engineers, and cross-functional teams.<br/><br/>- Experience in setting up engineering processes, building high-performance teams, and fostering a positive and productive engineering culture.<br/><br/>- Strong technical acumen, with hands-on experience in software architecture, coding, and system design.<br/><br/>- Ability to balance technical excellence with business priorities to make data-driven decisions.<br/><br/>- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (i.e., Jira, Confluence).<br/><br/>- Understanding of risk management practices, especially in the context of financial technology and payments</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
