Tech<br/><br/><b>About the Role :</b><br/><br/>We are looking for an experienced ETL Tester with strong expertise in database testing, SQL, and data validation across large-scale data warehousing environments.
The ideal candidate should be able to work independently on test design, execution, and defect management while collaborating with cross-functional teams.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Design, develop, and execute test cases for ETL processes and data warehouse validation.<br/><br/>- Write, execute, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions for data validation.<br/><br/>- Perform source-to-target data mapping validation by working closely with Business Analysts and developers.<br/><br/>- Conduct data migration testing, validating accuracy, completeness, and consistency of migrated records.<br/><br/>- Perform functional testing of data through portal/front-end applications where applicable.<br/><br/>- Perform API testing using Postman, SoapUI, or ReadyAPI (advantageous but not mandatory).<br/><br/>- Document and track defects using tools like Jira, Quality Center, or similar bug tracking systems.<br/><br/>- Work within Agile/Scrum methodology, actively participating in sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with developers and business teams to identify and resolve data-related issues.<br/><br/>- Contribute to process improvements by implementing test automation frameworks and scripts where applicable.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills :</b><br/><br/>- Strong experience in ETL and database testing (69 years).<br/><br/>- Proficiency in MS-SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures, and complex SQL queries with joins, subqueries, and functions.<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with data validation, data reconciliation, and data quality checks.<br/><br/>- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodology and exposure to bug tracking tools (Jira, Quality Center, or similar).<br/><br/>- Experience in test planning, execution, and reporting.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of ETL tools (SSIS, Informatica, etc.) is an added advantage.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter) is advantageous.<br/><br/>- Experience in automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cucumber, BDD with Java/Python (preferred but not mandatory).<br/><br/>- Exposure to API testing tools like Postman, SoapUI, ReadyAPI is an advantage.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
