EY GDS – Data and Analytics (D&A) – Data Governance Specialist
We’re looking for candidates with strong technology and data understanding in the data governance space, having proven delivery capability.
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm as well as a part of a growing Data and Analytics team.
Your key responsibilities
Employ tools and techniques to understand, manage, and govern data assets across the organizationDefine and implement data governance frameworks, standards, policies, and best practices to ensure data quality, security, and complianceDesign, review, and maintain data governance processes including metadata management, data lineage, and stewardship workflowsPerform data profiling, data quality assessments, and ensure remediation plans are in place and executedManage the lifecycle of data governance initiatives from requirements gathering to design, implementation, and ongoing maintenanceCollaborate closely with data owners, data stewards, and data engineers to enforce governance policies and optimize data usabilityIdentify opportunities where governance can enhance business activities and compliance Skills and attributes for success
Experience: 3 to 8 yearsStrong knowledge and hands-on experience in data governance tools such as Ataccama and CollibraSolid understanding of data quality (DQ) management, data profiling techniques, and metadata managementExperience with data cataloging, lineage tracking, and policy enforcement mechanismsGood understanding of data warehousing and ETL processesKnowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to data governance (, GDPR, CCPA)Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsStrong stakeholder management and communication skills to engage both technical and business audiencesExperience working in Agile-based delivery methodologies (preferable) To qualify for the role, you must have
Be a computer science graduate or equivalent with 3 to 8 years of industry experienceProven track record in delivering enterprise-grade data governance solutions and frameworksFlexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolutionProficiency in software development best practicesExcellent debugging and optimization skillsExperience in converting complex business problems/challenges into technical governance solutions considering security, performance, and scalabilityExcellent communicator (written and verbal, formal and informal)Participate in all aspects of solution delivery lifecycle including analysis, design, development, testing, production deployment, and supportClient management skills EY | Building a better working world
