At FactSet, our values are the foundation of everything we do.<br/><br/>They express how we act and operate, serve as a compass in our decision-making, and play a big role in how we treat each other, our clients, and our communities.<br/><br/>We believe that the best ideas can come from anyone, anywhere, at any time, and that curiosity is the key to anticipating our clients needs and exceeding their Description : </b></p><p><br/></p><br/><p><b>Your Team's Impact : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- A Windows Systems Administrator is part of the Systems Infrastructure group.<br/><br/>- This position is responsible for the deployment and maintenance of Windows servers used within FactSet.<br/><br/>- Production Windows systems exist in our data centers, offices worldwide, and many client locations.<br/><br/>- The environment is very aggressively monitored and managed due to an extremely low tolerance for downtime.<br/><br/>- In addition, this position will troubleshoot and resolve complex issues, make recommendations for improving the environment, and work closely with talented Unix, Network, Security, and Storage engineers.<br/><br/>- This position requires a driven individual who is very strong technically, well versed in industry best practices, learns quickly and is willing and capable of working with a diverse team in different time zones.<br/><br/></p><br/><p><b>What You'll Do : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Monitor patch compliance and system health, generating detailed reports and dashboards for stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Troubleshoot client and infrastructure issues, ensuring BigFix agents and servers function optimally across environments.<br/><br/>- Automate patching workflows and reporting using scripting (PowerShell, Shell) and integrate with tools like Kibana or Splunk.<br/><br/>- Monitor system health and troubleshoot issues related to hardware, OS, Active Directory, and Group Policy.<br/><br/>- Document system configurations and procedures, and collaborate with teams for system upgrades and disaster recovery planning.<br/><br/></p><br/><p><b>What We're Looking For : </b><br/><br/>- B.Tech or equivalent.<br/><br/>- 3-5 years of relevant experience in the IT industry.<br/><br/>- Excellent initiative, interpersonal skills, and problem solving skills.<br/><br/>- Ability to manage many projects simultaneously, prioritizing appropriately.<br/><br/>- Ability to strongly communicate with other administrators and end users.<br/><br/>- Experience in troubleshooting technical problems involving hardware, operating systems, and applications.<br/><br/>- 24x7 on-call availability.<br/><br/>- Willingness to work in shifts, and Skills : </b><br/><br/>- Experience in administration of Windows Server 2016/2019/2022.<br/><br/>- Should have strong knowledge in PowerShell scripting.<br/><br/>- Experience in Active directory, group policy management.<br/><br/>- Good knowledge in BigFix patching.<br/><br/>- Experience in solving technical systems problems safely and quickly.<br/><br/>- Good knowledge in HP, Dell server hardware.<br/><br/>- Good knowledge in storage (array controllers, RAID types, logical volume management, SAN).<br/><br/>- Good knowledge in network topology and distributed system concepts.<br/><br/>- Good knowledge of systems maintenance procedures.<br/><br/>- Ability to create automation to manage public cloud infrastructure lifecycle.<br/><br/>- Experience with AWS/Azure public cloud services.<br/><br/>- Having Hyper-V experience will be added advantage.<br/><br/>- Ability to produce high quality documentation.<br/><br/>- Self-disciplined and highly In It For You : </b><br/><br/>At FactSet, our people are our greatest asset, and our culture is our biggest competitive advantage.<br/><br/>Being a FactSetter means : <br/><br/>- The opportunity to join an S&P 500 company with over 45 years of sustainable growth powered by the entrepreneurial spirit of a start-up.<br/><br/>- Support for your total well-being.
