the Dallas Cowboys, Golden State Warriors, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester United, Chelsea FC, and Tokyo Giants; the University of Notre Dame, University of Alabama, and University of Texas; the International Olympic Committee (IOC), England Rugby, and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).<br/><br/>At Fanatics Commerce, we infuse our BOLD Leadership Principles in everything we do :<br/><br/>- Build Championship Teams<br/><br/>- Obsessed with Fans<br/><br/>- Limitless Entrepreneurial Spirit<br/><br/>- Determined and Relentless Mindset<br/><br/><b>About the Role :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer III to join our growing engineering team.<br/><br/> As a Software Engineer III, you will be a key contributor to the design, development, and maintenance of our core applications.<br/><br/> You will work independently and collaboratively on complex projects, leveraging your expertise in Go and Java to build robust and scalable systems.<br/><br/> This role requires a strong understanding of software engineering principles, experience with various technologies, and a passion for building high-quality, maintainable software.<br/><br/><b>Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Develop & Maintain : Develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality, scalable, and reliable software applications using Go and Java, adhering to best practices and coding standards.<br/><br/>- Implement complex features with guidance, demonstrating a good understanding of design patterns and principles.<br/><br/>- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs.<br/><br/>- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring code quality.<br/><br/></p><p>- Database Management : Design and implement efficient and robust database solutions leveraging relational (e., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (e., MongoDB).<br/><br/>- Write efficient queries and understand database performance optimization techniques.<br/><br/>- Cloud Infrastructure : Work with AWS (or other cloud providers) utilizing services like EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.<br/><br/>- Contribute to the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines.<br/><br/>- Understand cloud security best practices.<br/><br/>- Problem Solving & Troubleshooting : Effectively debug and resolve software issues.<br/><br/>- Identify and communicate potential risks in projects.<br/><br/>- Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) sessions.<br/><br/>- Collaboration & Communication : Collaborate effectively with other engineers, product managers, and designers.<br/><br/>- Clearly communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.<br/><br/></p><p>- Process Improvement : Contribute to improving team processes and suggest improvements to development workflows.<br/><br/>- Actively participate in knowledge sharing within the team.<br/><br/>- Testing & Instrumentation : Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and reliability.<br/><br/>- Understand and implement application monitoring and logging strategies.<br/><br/><b>Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.<br/><br/>- 3- 5 years of professional software development experience, with experience in Go and Java.<br/><br/>- Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.<br/><br/>- Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with AWS (or other major cloud provider) services.<br/><br/>- Understanding of software design patterns and principles.<br/><br/>- Experience with version control systems (Git).<br/><br/>- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.<br/><br/>- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.<br/><br/>- Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
