About the Role:
The System Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability of systems and networks.

The role involves proactive maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of IT services.

Specific tasks and service requirements.
1.

Full-Stack Development:?Design, develop, and maintain front-end and back-end applications using modern frameworks and technologies.?
2.

Test-Driven Development (TDD):?Write comprehensive unit tests before developing code to ensure robust and maintainable codebases.?
3.

Trunk-Based Development (TBD):?Follow TBD practices to minimize merge conflicts and ensure continuous integration.?
4.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC):?Implement and manage infrastructure using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to ensure consistent and scalable infrastructure provisioning.?
5.

Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD):?Design and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate the build, test, and deployment processes.?
6.

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE):?Implement SRE practices to manage and improve the reliability and availability of systems.?
7.

Monitoring and Logging:?Set up and manage monitoring and logging systems to ensure the health and performance of applications and infrastructure.?
8.

Collaboration:?Work closely with development, QA, and operations teams to foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.?
9.

Security:?Implement security best practices in the CI/CD pipeline and across the software delivery process to ensure secure deployments and operations.?
10.

Performance Optimization:?Continuously analyze and improve the performance of applications and infrastructure to achieve faster lead times and higher deployment frequencies.?
11.

Incident Management:?Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and prevent recurrence of issues.?
12.

Any other related tasks as required by client from time to time.
13.

Development of Azure Container Apps (ACA): Utilize ACA to maintain containerized applications and microservices in a highly scalable and cost-effective manner.

This involves managing server configurations, clusters, and container orchestration using open-source technologies like Distributed Application Runtime (DApR), KEDA, and Envoy.
14.

Implementation of Azure Service Bus (ASB): Employ ASB to decouple applications and services, ensuring scalable and reliable communication through message queues and publish-subscribe topics.

This will facilitate point-to-point communication and event-driven architecture, enhancing the overall system’s responsiveness and reliability.
15.

API development and API Management: Knowledge of creating micro-services from scratch with segregation of concern employed in the design to ensure availability and resiliency of the service.

Knowledge of setting up service package(s) along with its infrastructure requirements.

Use Azure API Management (APIM) to create, publish, secure, monitor, and analyze APIs. This will act as a gateway between backend services and API consumers, ensuring efficient management of the entire API lifecycle.

The significant achievements expected from this assignment include the successful deployment of a highly scalable and reliable integration pattern, improved resource management through Azure Resource Groups, and enhanced application performance and reliability using ACA and ASB.

There will be a focus on the development of common services using the RIP architecture.

Requirement and Qualification (Education & Work Experience)
• Education:?

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.?

• Experience:?Proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer with a strong focus on DevOps practices.

Experience in a DORA elite-level or high-performing software delivery team is highly desirable.?

• Technical Skills:??
o Proficiency in front-end and back-end development used for enterprise level applications.
o Architecture: Serverless architecture, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Event Driven Architecture, Microservices Architecture
o Front End: React JS
o Workflow: any workflow framework with preference for
o Core: Java and/or
o Business logic: Oracle PL/SQL (preferred), or any relational databases (MySQL or MSSQL)
o Database: PostgreSQL, Oracle DB, or any relational database
o Reports: PowerBI
o Integration: Azure integration services (API Management, Service Bus, Event hub/grid, Azure Data Factory), RESTful API Development
o Experience with TDD, TBD, IaC, CI/CD, and SRE practices.?
o Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and IaC tools (., Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).?
o Familiarity with containerization technologies (., Docker, Kubernetes).?
o Proficiency in using Distributed Application Runtime (dapr), Kubernetes-based Event Driven Autoscaling (KEDA).
o Experience with monitoring and logging tools (., Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack).?
o Understanding of security best practices in the DevOps lifecycle.?
o Experience creating micro-services and developing APIs from scratch with segregation of concern employed in the design to ensure availability and resiliency of the service.
o Experience with workflows like Spring Workflow or Temporal or experience creating custom workflow using step functions or similar tech stack from scratch.
o Experience setting up service package(s) along with its infrastructure from scratch using terraform and showing end to end ownership of the service from design to deployment along with setting up the operational processes for the service.

Work Arrangement
• The service term is for one year.

The work arrangement is international and remote, with an 8-hour availability from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Manila, Philippines time, unless otherwise specified or approved by the supervisor for alternative hours.

To ensure project continuity, international resources must follow the Client calendar and holidays (excluding local country holidays) and align their availability with Manila business hours, in coordination with the Client team based at Client Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.
