WM_Technology

Wealth Management Technology is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical solutions behind the products and services used by the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Business.

Practice areas include: Analytics, Intelligence, & Data Technology (AIDT), Client Platforms, Core Technology Services (CTS), Financial Advisor Platforms, Global Banking Technology (GBT), Investment Solutions Technology (IST), Institutional Wealth and Corporate Solutions Technology (IWCST), Technology Delivery Management (TDM), User Experience (UX), and the CAO team.



Wealth Management

In the Wealth Management division, we help people, businesses and institutions build, preserve, and manage wealth so they can pursue their financial goals.



Software Engineering

This is Associate position that develops and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:
• Work with development lead, Business teams and architecture team members in understanding the requirements, designing and implementing solutions.


• As a passionate hands-on programmer, spend most of the time in coding, code refactoring
• Write quality unit test cases, ensure high level of code coverage
• Participate in design reviews, peer code reviews and performance testing to ensure quality, performant code.


• Mentor team members, help them with technical queries, collaborate with geographically dispersed team to deliver solutions
• Understand the build and deployment process and be a go to person for troubleshooting live issues.


• Work collaboratively in a global setting, should be eager to learn new technologies.



What you'll bring to the role:
• At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
• CORE Java/J2EE: Lambdas, Futures, Generics, JDBC, Hibernate
• Spring: IoC, Dependency Injection, Configurations, Spring Boot, Spring Transactions, JPA
• Web Development: React/Angular, JavaScript, Typescript, HTML, CSS/LESS, AJAX, jQuery, Bootstrap
• SOA: Web apis, REST, Spring Cloud
• Database: RDBMS, SQL Queries, Database design, Query tuning, Transaction management
• Object Oriented Analysis and Design, SOLID principles, Clean code, Refactoring, Design patterns
• Test Automation (Unit Test and/or Functional Testing), JUnit, JMeter, Mockito/JMock, JBehave etc

Secondary Skills
• Batch Applications: Python
• Messaging: Kafka
• Source Control, Build, Packaging: Git, Gradle
• Experience on developing Cloud native apps for Azure and Openshift/Kubernetes
