Our in-house Software Engineering team enables business by designing, building, deploying, and maintaining energy trading software that meets user and business needs.<br/><br/><b>Position Summary :</b><br/><br/>As a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer, you will be responsible for taking key technical decisions, designing and building scalable, high-quality software on time.
In addition, you will be required to facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure that engineering activities are consistent with business objectives.<br/><br/><b>Your Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Designing and implementing robust, integrated, cloud-based software solutions with a focus on innovative technologies to accelerate our algo trading and analytics capability.<br/><br/>- Working closely with Front Office, Risk and other stakeholders to analyse, capture and transform their business requirements into trade automation and analytics solutions.<br/><br/>- Align with other developers, data scientists and design architects throughout the full agile development process.<br/><br/><b>Essential Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- A degree in or related to Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or other related discipline.<br/><br/>- Significant Python & Node.js Back End programming experience (4+ years).<br/><br/>- Significant Front End development experience (3+ years) using React.js and Typescript.<br/><br/>- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.<br/><br/>- Experience with Agile delivery processes (Scrum, Kanban etc).<br/><br/>- Professional fluency in English (spoken and written).<br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Tangible experience working in a trading environment, ideally energy trading.<br/><br/>- Experience with gas or power scheduling and dispatch processes.<br/><br/>- DevOps (CICD), Docker, Kubernetes, Kafka, Flink and Cloud technologies (AWS/Azure).<br/><br/><b>Soft Skills and Cultural Fit :</b><br/><br/>- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally in fast paced environments.<br/><br/>- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities.<br/><br/>- Demonstrated high level of initiative, self-motivation, and a proactive, self starter mindset, with a strong drive to independently identify and solve challenges.<br/><br/>- A passion for continuous learning, innovation, knowledge sharing, and driving excellence in Software Engineering.<br/><br/>- Proven ability to coordinate and guide junior colleagues, providing mentorship, support, and sharing best practices.<br/><br/>- Enthusiastic about training and upskilling internal and external staff.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
