is based in London and specializes in the commodity trading of various products, including oil, gas, and sugar.<br/><br/> As a subsidiary of Glencore International AG, the London office currently has over 350 employees working from a single site.<br/><br/> Glencore's Information Technology group develops and supports a range of IT applications and infrastructure to meet the needs of a fast-moving, international commodity trading business.<br/><br/> The London-based teams primarily focus on energy trading (oil and gas) and support business users across several global offices.<br/><br/> The team covers activities across the IT lifecycle, including architecture, project management, business analysis, software design, development and support, infrastructure design, and vendor management.<br/><br/> Glencore uses a wide range of modern IT technologies, providing a diverse set of opportunities and challenges.<br/><br/> Glencore is actively increasing its use of modern technologies within the IT department and is looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join the team.<br/><br/> The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of agile methodologies, including story definition, sprint planning, continuous integration, and automated testing.<br/><br/> The candidate will be delivery-focused while also mentoring colleagues in all areas of the development lifecycle.</p><br/><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/> - Identify and recommend requirements for STLC through analysis on the impacted area.<br/><br/> - Hands-on involvement in sprint testing, including test case creation, execution, and defect tracking.<br/><br/> - Develop and maintain an up-to-date Regression Pack to ensure ongoing testing of critical functionalities.<br/><br/> - Test automation using tools like ReadyAPI, SpecFlow, PlayWright, Selenium or similar.<br/><br/> - Maintain heat maps and ensure up-to-date visibility on quality metrics and coverage.<br/><br/> - Collaborate with business analysts and developers to ensure test scenarios and requirements are aligned and properly documented.<br/><br/> - Work closely with the team to ensure that Test Approach is properly updated in Jira stories.<br/><br/> - Keep QMetery updated with test cases, test runs, and results to ensure proper documentation and traceability.<br/><br/> - Ensure all automation and manual testing processes are continuously improved and up-to-date with the latest tools and techniques.<br/><br/> - Collaborate with the QA architect/manager to help define test policy and procedures.<br/><br/> - Collate test result data to support the creation of release readiness reports.</p><br/><p><b>Key Competencies And Skills :</b><br/><br/> - 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, with a balanced focus on both manual and automated testing.<br/><br/> - Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python, JavaScript, C#, TypeScript) to develop effective automation scripts.<br/><br/> - Expertise with ReadAPI, SpecFlow, and TestComplete for API automation.<br/><br/> - Strong experience in maintaining automated regression packs and contributing to sprint testing.<br/><br/> - Solid understanding of testing methodologies, test case design, and defect tracking systems (JIRA).<br/><br/> - Experience with tools like QMetery for test management and documentation.<br/><br/> - Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with BAs and developers on refining requirements and testing strategies.<br/><br/> - Hands-on experience in scenario preparation and data preparation for test environments.<br/><br/> - Proven ability to design, maintain, and execute complex test cases that ensure comprehensive coverage.<br/><br/> - Ability to update and align the Test Approach to Jira stories and project requirements.</p><br/><p><b>Additional Skills :</b><br/><br/> - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and the integration of automated tests into DevOps processes.<br/><br/> - Familiarity with advanced testing frameworks and a passion for exploring new testing tools and technologies.</p><br/><p><b>Education & Experience Requirements :</b><br/><br/> - Strong ability to context switch between multiple products and tasks.<br/><br/> - Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.<br/><br/> - Great communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.<br/><br/> -
