<p><p><b>Description :</b><br/><br/>As a Guidewire Software Developer, you will be responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of solutions within the Guidewire insurance platform.
This role requires a strong technical presence in shaping system architecture and strategy, adherence to development best practices, and a focus on scalable, high-performance system design.<br/><br/>Success in this position demands a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and thought leadership.
You will work closely with solution architects, IT delivery teams, product owners, and other key stakeholders to deliver high-impact solutions that drive business value and operational efficiency.<br/><br/><b>Accountabilities :</b><br/><br/>- Perform analysis, advanced level design, development, configuration, and testing for Guidewire platform solutions<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform hands-on analysis, design, development, and system configuration for assignments of intermediate to advanced complexity by customizing UI, business rules, workflows, and data models<br/><br/></p><p>- Integrate Guidewire applications with third-party APIs, payment systems, rating engines, and databases<br/><br/></p><p>- Define technical requirements for specific assignments and analyze systems, ensure solutions are scalable, and recommend improvements in procedures and protocols<br/><br/></p><p>- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and monitor the health of the system, escalating or alerting as appropriate<br/><br/></p><p>- Solve technical problems by identifying root cause and proactively addressing issues related to the system or integrations<br/><br/></p><p>- Build architectural diagrams and design documents<br/><br/></p><p>- Communicate technical challenges and set technical direction effectively and concisely with team members<br/><br/></p><p>- Provide consistent technical feedback and guidance on complex issues and initiatives to ensure the teams work complies with organizational standards, processes, and protocols<br/><br/></p><p>- Monitor application performance to ensure system reliability and resolve performance bottlenecks<br/><br/></p><p>- Maintain Guidewire environment by supporting updates, patches, and configuration changes<br/><br/></p><p>- Deliver meaningful and impactful work at a predictable and steady cadence that is aligned with enterprise release schedule<br/><br/></p><p>- Drive continuous improvement through knowledge and ongoing learning of current industry trends and techniques to formulate solutions<br/><br/></p><p>- Participate in Agile environment<br/><br/><b>Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.<br/><br/></p><p>- Relevant certifications (e.g., Guidewire Certified Associate, Guidewire Certified Specialist, or Lead EnterpriseEngage Developer) are a plus.<br/><br/></p><p>- 5+ years of experience in Information Technology<br/><br/></p><p>- 3+ years development experience in at least one Guidewire InsuranceSuite application v10: PolicyCenter or ClaimCenter<br/><br/></p><p>- Demonstrated experience with :<br/><br/>1.
Gosu language configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, batch process, and predefined plugins<br/><br/>2.
Java<br/><br/>3.
SQL<br/><br/>4.
Agile software development (using Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, etc.)<br/><br/>- Experience with integrations, including knowledge of REST APIs, messaging frameworks, and third-party system integrations<br/><br/></p><p>- Expertise in incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis<br/><br/></p><p>- Prior experience in Property & Casualty Insurance, including multi-product insurance platforms across personal and commercial lines, is strongly preferred.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
