What you’ll do:
- The job is a leadership and transformation role for owning and driving the core data platforms that host payments data & serve as source of truth when it comes to payments in Org.
- Working in tandem with the key Engineering leadership to draw and implement the roadmap of our data platforms.
- As global platform owner, also is responsible for upkeep and availability of the systems to meet the operational requirements of the bank with strong focus on Risk and Control governance.
- The role will encompass accountability for finances, application design, development and testing through to production implementation, and support/maintenance in production subsequently.
- Ensure strong operating environment for high quality delivery, faster time-to-market and continual productivity improvements.
- Provide thought leadership on latest DevOps and Agile development methodologies, innovation and transformation, and have the ability to evolve, modify and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Managing the required cross-skilling and re/up-skilling of the organization to deliver strong change agenda.
- Manage various senior management stakeholders across Technology, Ops and Business teams.
- Building capability for effective engagement and execution as well as building thought leadership for wider adoption of DevOps/Agile, APIs and reusable services.

Delivery and Application Management
- Provide SME knowledge in big data, cloud, resiliency, capacity, and supportability.
- Collaborate with engineering and support leads to provide a secure and resilient framework for payments data delivery
- Build strong productive working relationships with technology leadership, Payments Operations and LOBT
- Analyze and address/fix delivery issues in a timely manner
- Lead and provide direction and guidance as needed to the delivery team
- Responsible for communications to stakeholders and Payments Services (PS) management and any escalations
- Active involvement and ownership of Support activities covering stability, efficiency and improvement initiatives
- Lead and Manage regional IT Service Management teams and liaise closely with Regional Payments Operations teams for effective service management
- Ensure the IT estate, including hardware and software, is remediated before OEM end-of-life and has the latest security patching.
- Lead and drive RTB efficiency initiatives, ensuring year-on-year cost efficiency.
- Proactive management of cybersecurity threats, internal and external (in-country regulators like PRA, HKMA, MAS, etc.) audits.
- Effective management of audit items and their timely and satisfactory closure.
What you will need to succeed in the role:
- Strong technology experience including 18+ years of leadership experience managing both change and run functions in large technology organizations – preferably in Banking and financial services (Payments is a plus).
- An understanding of API technology, containerization, microservices.
- Exposure to big data & cloud.
Has led data platforms to support a complex organization.
- Demonstrable engineering excellence in how software is built.
- Ability to effectively drive and lead change in a global organization in terms of scale, size and complexity
- Exposure to regulatory requirements and demands is desirable.
- Experience of audit examinations and monitor lead examinations is desirable.
- Experience of managing dev teams including managers, engineers, designers, vendor resources etc.
across multiple locations and geographies in matrix model.
- Strong knowledge and experience of managing financial, operation, market and regulatory drivers impacting complex and dynamic technology environment
- Solid understanding of global technology trends especially in the Payments domain
- Sound experience of building, leading, developing and retaining high performing teams.
- Effective decision-making, influencing, critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Strong business and technology acumen, and proven experience in building a vision and developing strategy supporting the vision.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
