<p><p><b>Job Title :</b> Network Engineer (5-7 Years :</b> Chennai/Trichy (Remote) Supporting UK Timing :</b> 1 :00 PM - 10 :00 PM IST</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Job Summary :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>We are looking for an experienced Program Network Engineer with 5-7 years of proven expertise to independently manage, operate, and troubleshoot complex network environments.
This role requires providing high-quality support to our UK-based customers during UK business hours, ensuring network availability, performance, and security.
Beyond strong technical skills, the ideal candidate must demonstrate excellent communication abilities and a solution-oriented mindset, with the capability to engage directly with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teamsnot just executing instructions but also contributing to design, implementation, and Responsibilities :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Independently resolve network incidents and service requests within SLA.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Perform network configuration, upgrades, and patch management.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Work with global teams to ensure seamless network operations.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Conduct root cause analysis and recommend preventive actions.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Document network designs, processes, incident reports, and knowledge transfers.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with stakeholders and vendors to design and implement solutions (e.g., VPN policies, network segmentation, and access control).<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Support ongoing evaluation and testing of new tools such as Network Access Control (NAC).<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Ensure compliance with network security policies and best Skills & Experience :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- 5-7 years of experience in network engineering or related roles.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong knowledge of Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent network platforms.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), switching, VLANs, and VPN technologies.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Hands-on experience with firewalls and network security.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder interaction, documentation, and knowledge transfer.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Flexibility to work 2nd shift (1 :00 PM - 10 :00 PM Qualifications :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience supporting international clients, especially UK-based.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Exposure to designing solutions (not only operational support).<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with VPN policies, segmentation practices, and NAC :</b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Project Management, Network Design, Network Security, Network Troubleshooting, Firewall Configuration, Routing Protocols.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
