Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and deploy ETL workflows using IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
- Extract data from multiple heterogeneous sources including relational databases, flat files, and APIs.
- Perform complex data transformations, cleansing, and validation to ensure data quality and integrity.
- Optimize DataStage jobs and workflows for performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with data architects, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETL processes, resolving issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain and update existing DataStage jobs and documentation.
- Implement best practices for data integration, error handling, and logging.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Support data migration, data warehouse upgrades, and integration projects as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience developing ETL solutions using IBM InfoSphere DataStage.
- Strong understanding of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and dimensional modeling.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, DB2).
- Experience with job design, parameterization, and deployment in DataStage.
- Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments and scripting for automation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
