(CS)<br/><br/><b>Job Description : </b><br/><br/>We are searching for our office in Chennai, India a <b>Data Engineer</b> with a university degree in computer science or mathematics and a proven working experience in requirement analysis and building and maintaining data systems (SQL or NO-SQL) of <b>minimum 5 years.</b> Experience gained during the development of the Master or PhD projects, and the-sis will be positively taken in account.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/>- Documenting business needs on data analysis and reporting and then developing BI systems, reports, and dashboards to support them; also working to acquire and integrate data from heterogeneous data sources in such BI systems.<br/><br/></p><p>- Supporting and assisting customers that utilize our products or its developed integration solutions.
<br/><br/></p><p>- Creating data pipelines, big data platforms and data integrations in databases, data warehouses and data lakes, working with various cloud and on-premises technologies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Gathering and analyzing data from databases and other data sources running machine learning algorithms and predictive models; proposing and creating effective data visualizations for business users.<br/><br/></p><p>- Designing and implementing database systems, data models and other data architecture components; also evaluating and recommending purchases of data management technologies.<br/><br/><b>Required Technical Skills : </b><br/><br/>- Excellent knowledge about databases, multidimensional databases, Datawarehouse designing, concepts and methodologies<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent knowledge of the SQL language and fluency with development, profiling, and optimization tools<br/><br/></p><p>- Capable of data and web service integration, working familiarity with a variety of databases (MS SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle) and database replication (snap-shot, mirroring, transactional) tools<br/><br/></p><p>- Education in statistics, machine learning, data cleansing, data visualization,<br/><br/></p><p>- Activities performed in data visualization and reporting<br/><br/></p><p>- Good knowledge in programming languages (Python, Java, C#),<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven experience with cloud computing tools, preferably Azure, AWS,<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven experience with a wide variety of data and web technologies, both in the cloud and on premises<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge or previous experience in the logistics and marine terminals industry is considered a great advantage<br/><br/><b>Additional Technical Profile : </b><br/><br/>- T-SQL and SQL coding, OLAP and dimensional modeling<br/><br/></p><p>- ETL process, building data pipelines, data APIs<br/><br/></p><p>- Change Data Capture (CDC) technique knowledge for near real-time data-driven applications<br/><br/></p><p>- Big data tools (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)<br/><br/></p><p>- Data warehouse (Azure, Amazon Redshift, SnowFlake)<br/><br/></p><p>- Microsoft Fabric, Power BI and SQL Server Reporting Services<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in linear optimization algorithms design and programming<br/><br/></p><p>- Previous experience or knowledge of logistics industry, container terminal operations, TOS systems is considered as a great Skills :</b></p><p> <br/>- Independent when working on assigned tasks.<br/><br/></p><p>- Available to work on flexible time zones.<br/><br/></p><p>- Available to travel to visit customers, define and analyze requirements.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ready to work in small team and share his/her knowledge with the group.<br/><br/></p><p>- Required Languages : fluent English.<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge, even basic of other languages is an advantage.<br/><br/><b>Required : </b><br/><br/>- University Degree in Computer Science or mathematics or equivalent.<br/><br/><b>We Offer : </b><br/><br/>- Adequate salary and compensation.<br/><br/></p><p>- Challenging and informal environment.<br/><br/></p><p>- International activity with travel opportunities.<br/><br/></p><p>- Work location in Chennai (office).<br/><br/></p><p>- 100% degree of employment.<br/><br/></p><p>- Effective as soon as possible.<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
