Sustainable Carbon Registry is “the registry for high-integrity carbon markets,” connecting stakeholders on a transparent, science-based platform.
SCR’s core principles emphasize transparency (open flow-of-funds), innovation (supporting novel approaches), and quality (additionality, robust quantification, no double counting).
Projects follow lifecycle from information gathering through PDD development, validation by accredited VVBs, and credit issuance , all grounded in ISO 14064-2 principles (accuracy, completeness, consistency, relevance, transparency, conservativeness).
Role: Project Developer (SCR)
You are the single-threaded owner who takes a project from first contact to VVB submission and on to listing.
You orchestrate stakeholders, collect evidence, and turn expert guidance into clean, versioned, audit-ready documentation that aligns with SCR’s lifecycle and principles.
Responsibilities-
- Own the project journey: run intake → scope → timeline; coordinate with SCR Relationship Manager, Method team, and VVBs.
- Draft and maintain core docs using SCR templates: PDD, monitoring protocols, baseline/additionality, leakage & permanence, safeguards, QA/QC, and evidence manifests aligned to SCR’s 7-step process.

- Evidence & parameters: build the evidence plan, compile data sources, complete parameter sheets, and ensure provenance.
- Method alignment: collaborate with Method Engineers/Lead to confirm existing method vs.
new/variant, and capture applicability/gaps.
- Validation pack: assemble the full submission (PDD + annexes + parameter registry + calculator worked examples) for independent third-party validation by accredited VVBs; manage Q&A and disposition logs.

- Versioned, testable docs: run a docs-as-code workflow (Markdown/Git), keep change logs, and ensure links/IDs are consistent with registry records.
- Stakeholder coordination: schedule checkpoints, keep CRM/KYC status current, and prepare for listing/issuance after validation per SCR’s lifecycle.

Qualifications-
- Experience: 4–8+ years in carbon project development, MRV/standards documentation, VVB/CB work, or regulated technical documentation.
- MRV fundamentals: working knowledge of additionality, baselines, monitoring, leakage/permanence, uncertainty, and safeguards; comfort with ISO-aligned processes and independent validation.

- Documentation strength: you can turn technical inputs into clear, testable documents (tables, units, assumptions, data sources, and acceptance criteria).
- Data & tools: fluency with spreadsheets; familiarity with parameter registries and simple QA checks; bonus for Markdown/Git and light Python/JSON.
- Collaboration: confident interfacing with project owners, engineers, and accredited VVBs; crisp written communication and deadline discipline.
- Ethos: bias toward transparency, quality, and continuous improvement—aligned with SCR’s principles and 7-step lifecycle.
