<p>Role Overview : </p><p><br/></p><p>We are seeking a skilled SAP SD Consultant with 3-5 years of experience and prior exposure to the Steel/Metals industry.
The candidate will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting SAP SD (Sales and Distribution) processes tailored to the steel industry's unique requirements.</p><p><br/> The role demands strong functional knowledge, end-to-end process expertise, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth business operations.<br/><br/>Key Responsibilities : <br/><br/>- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements specific to steel industry sales and distribution processes.<br/><br/>- Configure and customize SAP SD modules including : </p><p><ul><li>Order-to-Cash (OTC) cycle.</li><li>Pricing, discounts, and rebates.</li><li>Credit and risk management.</li><li>Logistics execution (delivery, shipment, transportation).</li><li>Billing and invoicing.</li></ul>- Handle business processes related to : <br/><br/>- Steel dispatch and transportation management.<br/><br/>- Contract management, bulk orders, and scheduling agreements.<br/><br/>- Steel-specific weighing bridge integrations and delivery documentation.<br/><br/>- Support integration with other SAP modules such as MM, PP, FI, and WM.<br/><br/>- Develop functional specifications for RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Workflows).<br/><br/>- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).<br/><br/>- Provide user training, documentation, and post-go-live support.<br/><br/>- Troubleshoot and resolve SAP SD-related incidents and ensure business continuity.<br/><br/>- Work closely with stakeholders and business teams to propose process improvements and automation opportunities.<br/><br/><b>Required Qualifications and Skills : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Education : Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.<br/><br/>- Experience : 3-5 years of hands-on SAP SD implementation and support experience.<br/><br/>- Industry Knowledge : Prior working experience in the Steel/Metals industry is mandatory.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of steel industry business processes : pricing strategies, bulk dispatches, freight handling, and export/domestic sales.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in SAP SD configuration and customization.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of SAP integration with MM, PP, FI, and WM modules.<br/><br/>- Ability to create functional specifications for ABAP developments.<br/><br/>- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.<br/><br/>- Strong communication skills to interact with business users and technical teams<br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
