<p><p><b>Description :</b><br/><br/>We have an exciting opportunity for a Director, Engineering to join our Universal DDI team in Bangalore, India, reporting to the senior director of Software Engineering.<br/><br/>In this pivotal role, you will lead quality and automation strategies that drive innovation and ensure the scalable, reliable, and efficient delivery of high-quality software across the engineering lifecycle.<br/><br/><b>Be a Contributor What Youll Do :</b><br/><br/>- Define and execute a comprehensive QA strategy for SaaS and hybrid delivery<br/><br/>- Champion a culture of quality across Engineering, Product, and Operations<br/><br/>- Lead development and scaling of test automation across UI, API, and infrastructure<br/><br/>- Integrate automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines for safe, fast releases<br/><br/>- Implement proactive controls and observability to maintain near-zero change fail rate<br/><br/>- Collaborate with SRE/DevOps to ensure post-deployment monitoring and rollback safety<br/><br/>- Apply DNS, DHCP, and IPAM expertise to validate product behavior and edge cases<br/><br/>- Partner with Product managers and architects to ensure domain-specific quality coverage<br/><br/>- Define, track, and report KPIs, including coverage, defect escape, change fail, and release confidence<br/><br/>- Build, mentor, and grow a high-performing QA/automation team with continuous innovation<br/><br/><b>Be Prepared What You Bring :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering required; masters degree preferred.<br/><br/>- 20+ years of experience in software quality assurance, including 58 years in leadership roles, preferably in cloud-native SaaS environments<br/><br/>- Proven track record of maintaining zero change fail rate in production deployments through robust quality strategies and automation<br/><br/>- Deep expertise in QA methodologies, tools, and processes across the full software development lifecycle<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks, such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cypress, and REST Assured<br/><br/>- Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and GitLab CI and integrating automated quality gates<br/><br/>- Familiarity with observability platforms, including Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana to monitor and validate system health and performance<br/><br/>- Solid understanding of DNS, DHCP, and IPAM protocols, general networking concepts, and Unix/Linux environments<br/><br/>- Experience working in Agile development environments, with a history of shipping high-quality software at scale<br/><br/>- Exposure to AWS services, such as EC2, VPC, ELB, S3, and CloudFormation is a strong plus<br/><br/>- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills<br/><br/>- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with a strong focus on results and continuous improvement<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
