This role focuses on heavy database development, ETL workflows, and data integration strategies primarily using Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, and T-SQL.

The candidate will work on mission-critical data applications supporting enterprise-wide initiatives and must be available to provide collaborative support aligning with US CST business hours.</p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Design and develop scalable database and data warehouse systems utilizing Microsoft technologies such as Azure Synapse Analytics (Dedicated SQL Pools), Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Data Factory for ETL workflows.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Write complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and scripts to support data integration and reporting needs.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Implement and maintain robust ETL pipelines ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient data movement and transformation.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data architects, business analysts, and developers to align database solutions with business requirements.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Monitor and optimize database performance, troubleshoot data-related issues, and enforce best practices for data management and security.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Design and implement solutions for database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery plans.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Develop and maintain documentation related to database designs, architecture, ETL processes, and operational procedures.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior database developers and team members.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Support ongoing database deployments and upgrades, ensuring minimal operational disruption.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Work cooperatively ensuring availability for overlap/support with US Central Standard Time (CST) working hours until 2 :00 PM Skills & Qualifications :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related technical field.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in Microsoft-based database development and data warehousing.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Expertise in Transact-SQL (T-SQL) for development, performance tuning, and query optimization.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Extensive experience with Azure Synapse Analytics / Dedicated SQL Pools and Azure Data Factory ETL development.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong knowledge of Azure Data Lake Storage and associated cloud data services.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Proven track record in designing, building, and maintaining ETL frameworks and data pipeline automation.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with enterprise job scheduling tools such as Active Batch is a significant plus.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, Event Hub, and Stream Analytics is advantageous.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication Competencies :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Ability to work effectively across different time zones supporting US CST business hours.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Proactive approach in managing projects with excellent organizational skills.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication skills to interface with diverse teams globally.<br/></p><p><br/></p><p>- Mentoring skills and leadership qualities to support knowledge sharing and team & Work Model :</b><br/></p><p><br/></p><p>The role reports to the Database Engineering Manager or Data Architecture Lead.
