<p><p><b>Job Title :</b> AWS Engineer (Proof of Concept Cloud Migration)<br/><br/><b>Location :</b> Onsite for Thailand (Candidate from India who are willing to travel to Thailand for 6-8 Months can also apply)<br/><br/><b>Engagement Type :</b> Full-time<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Design and implement AWS infrastructure components (compute, storage, networking, security) for application and data workloads.<br/><br/>- Support migration and modernization efforts assessing on-premise or existing systems and defining migration paths to AWS.<br/><br/>- Set up VPCs, IAM policies, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch as needed for the POC environment.<br/><br/>- Work closely with application and DevOps teams to deploy and validate applications on AWS.<br/><br/>- Automate environment provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.<br/><br/>- Conduct performance and compatibility testing of the application in the AWS environment.<br/><br/>- Document architecture, configuration, and deployment steps for knowledge transfer.<br/><br/>- Ensure security best practices and compliance standards within the AWS setup.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Experience :</b><br/><br/>- 36 years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud engineering or DevOps.<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of AWS services EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, etc.<br/><br/>- Experience with migration or re-platforming applications to AWS (infrastructure or application level).<br/><br/>- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).<br/><br/>- Familiarity with Linux/Unix administration and networking fundamentals.<br/><br/>- Scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).<br/><br/>- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration with AWS services.<br/><br/>- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.<br/><br/><b>Good to Have :</b><br/><br/>- AWS certification (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or DevOps Engineer Professional).<br/><br/>- Exposure to data migration or data warehouse modernization (Redshift, Glue, Snowflake on AWS).<br/><br/>- Experience with monitoring and cost optimization tools on AWS.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
