Required Technical and Professional Experience
- 7+ years of experience in Design, configure, and manage NetApp File, Block, and Object storage solutions.
- Implement and manage CIFS and NFS file shares effectively.
- Handle SAN devices, including installation, configuration, and management.
- Administer FC switches, blade chassis FC devices, and execute FC zoning for storage volumes.
- Perform cross-site replication for disaster recovery data and manage volume replication jobs.
- Monitor and optimize storage performance for production and development environments.
- Participate in and support capacity planning and development of long-term strategic goals for enterprise storage in conjunction with data owners and department managers.
- Work with systems and database administrators to implement storage architectures using industry best practices.
- Install and configure storage devices and corresponding software.
- Implement redundant systems, policies, and procedures for disaster recovery and archiving to ensure data protection and integrity.
- Establish appropriate end-user access control levels for stored data.
- Perform tasks necessary to fulfill service level agreements with end-users regarding storage allocations, limitations, security, and availability.
- Perform and test backups and restores to ensure enterprise data protection.
- Communicate and enforce data storage retention policies through system procedures.
- Follow change control, incident response, and testing processes for storage appliances and software modifications.
- Monitor, analyze, and predict trends for storage equipment performance, space allocation, and data growth; recommend enhancements.
- Develop routines for end-users to facilitate storage best practices, including desktop storage administration.
- Research and recommend storage products, services, and standards to support procurement and development efforts.
- Stay informed on storage laws, trends, and issues, including emerging technologies and best practices.
- Ensure storage measures and equipment adhere to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Perform storage server/database transaction and security audits, mitigating identified security threats.
- Create reports in response to business user needs.
- Develop, document, and maintain operational processes and tasks.
- Manage and/or provide guidance to junior team members.
- Manage, design, configure, and implement NetApp storage and ISILON
- Experience in handling CIFS and NFS file shares.
- Perform activities related to installing, configuring, and managing SAN devices, storage, and fiber switches.
- Administer FC switches and blade chassis FC devices.
- Execute FC zoning for development and production storage volumes.
- Manage snapshots and recovery methods for storage volumes.
- Execute cross-site replication of DR data and supervise volume replication jobs.
- Oversee IO performance of production and development database LUNs.
- Provide architectural and performance recommendations to DBAs and Ops teams.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
- Good scripting knowledge (Perl and Shell).
- Open to working stretched shifts, 24x7 rotations, odd hours, and weekends as per work requirements.
- Strong technical support skills for troubleshooting and implementing global infrastructure solutions.

- Provide Tier 2/3 support for backup server issues as required.
