<p>JOB TITLE : QA - Lead<br/><br/>JOB PURPOSE : To design, develop, and execute performance, load, and stress testing for applications and products, ensuring scalability, stability, and responsiveness under varying workloads.
The role requires strong hands-on expertise in performance testing tools, scripting, monitoring, and analysis of system bottlenecks, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize product performance.<br/><br/>QUALIFICATION : B.
Tech/BE/ MCA<br/><br/>CERTIFICATIONS : ISTQB (Certification Prefered)<br/><br/>EXPERIENCE : 6-8 years in QA/testing roles with at least 4+ years in automation, and proven experience in leading automation initiatives independently.<br/><br/>REPORTING TO : QA Manager<br/><br/>LOCATION : Bangalore<br/><br/>RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDES ALL TASKS) : <br/><br/>- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, reusable, and robust automation frameworks across UI, API, and Mobile.<br/><br/>- Own the automation roadmap - from tool evaluation/selection to implementation, optimization, and governance.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with developers, QA, DevOps, and product teams to enable shift-left testing and continuous integration.<br/><br/>- Drive CI/CD pipeline integration (GitLab, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, etc.) and ensure automated quality gates.<br/><br/>- Conduct code reviews to maintain script quality and enforce standards.<br/><br/>- Define and maintain test data strategies for automation.<br/><br/>- Mentor and upskill junior/mid-level QA engineers in scripting, framework usage, and automation best practices.<br/><br/>- Partner with manual testers to identify automation candidates and increase overall automation coverage.<br/><br/>- Track and report automation coverage, execution, and defect metrics to stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Contribute actively to the Automation COE by creating reusable assets, best-practice guidelines, and innovation initiatives.<br/><br/>TECHNICAL SKILLS /COMPETENCIES : <br/><br/>MANDATORY OPTIONAL :<br/><br/>- Proven experience building automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.<br/><br/>- Proficiency in Java / JavaScript / Python or equivalent scripting languages.<br/><br/>- Expertise in API automation using RestAssured, Postman, or equivalent tools.<br/><br/>- Strong knowledge of BDD/TDD frameworks (Cucumber, TestNG, Mocha, JUnit).<br/><br/>- CI/CD integration with tools like Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps.<br/><br/>- Version control experience (Git, Bitbucket).<br/><br/>- Hands-on with test reporting tools (Allure, Extent Reports, etc.).<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)<br/><br/>Optional/Good to Have : <br/><br/>- Performance testing knowledge (e.g., JMeter, k6).<br/><br/>- Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).<br/><br/>- Experience with cloud-based testing platforms (Browser Stack, Sauce Labs).<br/><br/>- Familiarity with security testing concepts.
