<p><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><p><b><br/></b></p><p><b>Server Administration : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Administer Windows and Linux servers (2008/2012/2016/2019, CentOS, Ubuntu) installation, configuration, patching, performance tuning & troubleshooting.<br/><br/> - Manage Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, Group Policies (GPO), IIS/Apache Servers, Zimbra Mail.<br/><br/> - Ensure server uptime, backup & restoration, log analysis, patch management, and IT compliance.<br/><br/> - Administer backup and restoration processes using Veritas Backup and similar tools.<br/><br/> <b>Virtualization & Datacenter : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Manage Hyper-V failover clusters and virtual environments with high availability.<br/><br/> - Monitor and optimize Dell PowerEdge servers, VMware/Hyper-V virtual machines, and associated storage.<br/><br/> - Perform capacity planning, upgrades, and preventive maintenance of datacenter infrastructure.<br/><br/> - Manage critical applications in production, including MSSQL Database Clusters and Application Servers.<br/><br/> <b>Storage & Security Management : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Handle enterprise-class SAN/NAS (Dell EMC, ISILON, IBM) storage provisioning and monitoring.<br/><br/> - Implement and manage server security antivirus, firewall logs, vulnerability assessments, and audits.<br/><br/> - Conduct periodic internal & external server audits for security and compliance.<br/><br/> <b>Cloud Administration : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure in AWS & Azure server provisioning, monitoring, scaling, and backups.<br/><br/> - Support hybrid cloud migrations and integration of on-premise with cloud environments.<br/><br/> <b>IT Operations & Client Coordination : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Ensure datacenter performance & SLA adherence for critical deployments (eChallan, VMS, CCTV, etc.<br/><br/> - Work closely with vendors, OEMs, and third-party service providers for system upgrades and troubleshooting.<br/><br/> - Coordinate with government clients (Smart City / Police / Municipal projects) for IT infrastructure requirements.<br/><br/> - Prepare technical documentation and reports on system performance, incidents, and changes.<br/><br/> <b>Team Support : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Provide L2/L3 level escalation support for server, storage, and network incidents.<br/><br/> - Mentor junior administrators and assign tasks based on expertise.<br/><br/> - Ensure IT process compliance with ITIL principles (Incident, Change & Problem Management).<br/><br/> <b>Key Skills & Competencies : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux Servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IIS/Apache.<br/><br/> - Expertise in virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware), clustering, HA/DR setups.<br/><br/> - Hands-on experience with Dell/IBM servers, EMC SAN, NAS ISILON.<br/><br/> - Proficiency in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) infra deployment, VM, backup, monitoring.<br/><br/> - Strong troubleshooting skills of production environments (Datacenter & Cloud).<br/><br/> - Security compliance, audits & disaster recovery planning.<br/><br/> - Good communication skills for client coordination & vendor management.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
