Join us in building the next generation of data-driven SaaS products that shape the future of automotive retail.<br/><br/>Job Title : Software Engineering Manager - Python/SaaS<br/><br/><b>Job Description :</b><br/><br/>We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Engineering Manager to lead our Python-based engineering team for Frogdata, a next-generation SaaS analytics platform.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Python, Django/FastAPI, and microservices architecture, along with proven experience managing and scaling high-performance SaaS engineering teams.

As an Engineering Manager, you will drive release planning and execution, lead technology initiatives, and mentor a team of talented engineers to deliver data-driven SaaS products that power analytics, reporting, and business insights.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/><b>Technical Leadership :</b><br/><br/>- Lead and mentor a team of Python engineers, promoting best practices in software design, coding standards, and testing.<br/><br/>- Drive the architecture and design of scalable, secure, and data-intensive SaaS platforms using Python (Django/FastAPI/Flask), REST/GraphQL APIs, and microservices.<br/><br/>- Provide technology thought leadership and guide critical technical decisions throughout the product lifecycle.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with product and design teams to align on roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables.<br/><br/>- Ensure high standards of code quality, security, and performance through reviews, automation, and best engineering practices.<br/><br/><b>Release Planning & Execution :</b><br/><br/>- Own release planning, deployment, and CI/CD processes.<br/><br/>- Ensure reliable delivery of product releases while maintaining uptime and performance for data-heavy SaaS applications.<br/><br/>- Partner with DevOps/SRE teams to optimize cloud deployment pipelines (AWS/GCP/Azure).<br/><br/><b>People Management :</b><br/><br/>- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing, diverse engineering team.<br/><br/>- Drive hiring processes to attract top Python talent and create growth opportunities for team members.<br/><br/>- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and innovation.<br/><br/><b>Technology Initiatives :<br/></b><br/>- Introduce and adopt modern tools, frameworks, and open-source technologies aligned with Frogdatas' SaaS and analytics needs.<br/><br/>- Champion SaaS-first principles, scalability, observability, and cost optimization.<br/><br/>- Encourage innovation through experimentation and continuous improvement.<br/><br/><b>Collaboration & Communication :<br/></b><br/>- Act as a bridge between engineering, architecture, product, and business stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Provide clear progress updates to leadership, highlighting risks and solutions.<br/><br/>- Maintain a culture of transparency and collaboration across distributed teams.<br/><br/><b>Experience / Skills Required :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.<br/><br/>- 12+ years of software development experience, with deep expertise in Python and SaaS platforms.<br/><br/>- 5+ years in engineering management, leading and scaling product engineering teams.<br/><br/>- Strong hands-on expertise in Python (Django, FastAPI, Flask), microservices, and API-driven architectures.<br/><br/>- Proven experience in building and scaling data-intensive SaaS products in a cloud environment (AWS/GCP/Azure).<br/><br/>- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (React, Angular, or Vue.js).<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of databases : relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch).<br/><br/>- Solid experience with DevOps practices: Git, CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).<br/><br/>- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.<br/><br/><b>Desired Skills :<br/></b><br/>- Experience with analytics-driven SaaS applications, reporting engines, and data pipelines.<br/><br/>- Exposure to data engineering, BI, or AI/ML integrations within SaaS platforms.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with security and compliance best practices (SOC2, ISO 27001, GDPR).<br/><br/>- Understanding of SRE principles, monitoring, and observability practices.</p><p></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
