Role Summary

This is a great opportunity to join our fast-growing OTC Derivatives Business working with some of the world’s leading financial institutions.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of JAVA Automation developer (QA) .

As an Automation Developer for our OTC Derivatives business platform, the successful candidate will work directly with our senior developers, project managers and business stakeholders to analyse and implement solutions and to ensure they are able to build quality solutions that Delta Capita (DC) offers.

The Candidate should be self-motivated and should be able to work independently on development tasks and actively track work with team members.

The Role and Responsibilities

No day will look the same.

This role is ideal for someone with the right mix of automation/QA experience, client and stakeholder management experience, entrepreneurial spirit, and experience in driving commercial success.

You will combine digital know how, knowledge of the fintech ecosystem, an innovative nature, and a strong knowledge of and network within the financial services industry.

· Collaborate with senior developers, project managers, stakeholders and end-users to understand and gather requirements to determine size, scope, impact and risk for the projects to be delivered.

· Independently analyse and work on automation work items and collaborate actively with team members and stakeholders to implement quality solutions.

Skills and Experience

As an experienced JAVA developer, you will have:

· Excellent grasp and experience on Core Java, J2EE technologies, Micro-Services architecture and REST APIs, gained through commercial experience.

· Excellent knowledge on Java Cucumber and Selenium with Java Binding.

· Hands-on experience on API automation either via REST Assured / Postman or Java Core.

· Exposure to Unix/LINUX system commands and shell scripting and Python is good to have.

· Knowledge of UFT automation and Excel macros is good to have.

· Knowledge in DevOps tools like Jenkins, Sonar, Ansible, etc., for creating CI/CD pipelines.

· Handline and parsing of XML, JSON and other formatted data.

· Having worked on development and build tools such as Gradle, GIT, IntelliJ, Eclipse, etc.

· Good to have exposure on nosql DB (MongoDB) and any RDBMS.

Requirements

It would be great if you:

· 8+ years of IT experience in successfully delivering complex technology solutions within a defined Software/SDLC in Banking industry.

· Experience in AGILE methodology, status reporting, progress tracking, issues/risks lists and development and release management.

· Excellent problem-solving, interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills.

· Strong relationship management skills with proven history in dealing with stakeholders and globally distributed project teams.

· Self-motivated, enthusiastic and proven rapid learning capability and takes ownership and pride in delivered work.

· Experience in working in fast-paced, collaborative environments.

· Ability to define, collect and analyse metrics for development projects.

· Knowledge of Calypso as a back-office system, gained through commercial experience with settlements and accounting functionality would be an add-on.

· Good communication skills both written and verbal.

· Good to have knowledge of primary market investment banking products, Fixed Income products, OTC Derivatives products.
