<p><p><b>Description :</b></p><br/><p><b>About the Role :</b></p><br/><p>As a Java Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality backend systems and services that support customer-facing and internal applications.
You will work within a collaborative engineering environment, adhering to best practices, tools, and frameworks to deliver scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions.</p><br/><p><b>Key Responsibilities :</b></p><br/><p>- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and systems using distributed enterprise frameworks.</p><br/><p>- Ensure software meets quality and performance standards through code, test, and peer reviews.</p><br/><p>- Debug and troubleshoot software components; identify and remediate code defects.</p><br/><p>- Support deployment, monitoring, and maintenance across test, integration, and production environments.</p><br/><p>- Automate deployment pipelines and ensure smooth CI/CD workflows.</p><br/><p>- Contribute to scaling applications based on performance and demand projections.</p><br/><p>- Collaborate cross-functionally with teams for design, implementation, and release planning.</p><br/><p><b>Required Qualifications & Experience :</b></p><br/><p><b>Education :</b></p><br/><p>- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).</p><br/><p><b>Experience :</b></p><br/><p>- Up to 5 years of professional software development experience.</p><br/><p><b>Technical Skills :</b></p><br/><p>- Minimum 1 year of experience with GoLang (preferred).</p><br/><p>- Strong experience with Spring Boot for microservices and REST API development.</p><br/><p>- Good working knowledge of Kafka and its ecosystem.</p><br/><p>- Proficiency in both SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Oracle, PostgreSQL, Couchbase, Cassandra).</p><br/><p>- Experience with microservices-based architectures and event-driven systems.</p><br/><p>- Familiarity with reactive programming (e.g., Vert.x or similar frameworks) is a plus.</p><br/><p>- Knowledge of testing frameworks (Cucumber for BDD, JMeter for performance testing).</p><br/><p>- Understanding of tools like Jenkins, GitHub, Splunk, Kibana, Grafana, and deployment automation.</p><br/><p>- Working knowledge of caching mechanisms (e.g., Redis, Memcached) preferred.</p><br/><p>- Experience developing high-throughput, low-latency, high-availability systems.</p><br/><p>- Exposure to Agile software development practices.</p><br/><p>- Familiarity with DevOps concepts and CI/CD pipelines.</p><br/><p>- Intermediate understanding of cloud computing and infrastructure technologies.</p><br/><p>- Technical certifications in relevant technologies are an advantage.</p><br/><p><b>Preferred Experience :</b></p><br/><p>- Test-Driven Development (TDD) and unit testing using JUnit.</p><br/><p>- Hands-on experience with IntelliJ, JBoss, and build tools.</p><br/><p>- Experience with event-driven/microservices architectures for distributed systems.</p><br/><p>- Knowledge of performance monitoring, logging, and alerting systems (Splunk, Grafana, Kibana).</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
