<p><p><b>Description : </b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>We are seeking a hands-on Kubernetes/Java Developer to join the Polaris Program, a strategic initiative designed to deliver a holistic architectural framework for post-trade and real-time risk/monitoring systems.
The program aims to standardize integration between low-latency trading environments and post-execution platforms - focusing on scalability, resiliency, recoverability, manageability, simplicity, performance, time-to-market, and cost optimization.<br/><br/>As part of this team, you will design and build high-performance distributed systems, modernize application infrastructure, and help shape the future of a front-to-back architecture for real-time financial systems.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities : </b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Design and implement high-performance messaging middleware and frameworks.<br/><br/>- Build resilient, scalable, and containerized applications leveraging Kubernetes and Docker.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to migrate applications from traditional infrastructure to Kubernetes environments.<br/><br/>- Automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.<br/><br/>- Improve SDLC processes through a shift-left approach-enhancing testing, configuration, and developer experience.<br/><br/>- Implement robust monitoring and observability solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.<br/><br/>- Troubleshoot, optimize, and document common solutions and best practices for containerized systems.<br/><br/>- Contribute to continuous improvement in cost, quality, and performance optimization.<br/><br/><b>Core Skills & Experience :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- 5 - 7+ years of professional experience in software development, particularly with Java and distributed systems.<br/><br/>- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker for container orchestration and deployment.<br/><br/>- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and Infrastructure as Code.<br/><br/>- Practical knowledge of streaming and messaging systems such as Kafka.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).<br/><br/>- Solid understanding of cloud computing, DevOps principles, and microservices architecture.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of Python and stream processing technologies is a plus.<br/><br/>- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with a proactive mindset.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Technologies : </b><br/><br/></p><p>Kubernetes | Docker | Java | Kafka | RocksDB | MongoDB | MemSQL | Prometheus | Tempo | Snowflake | Python | CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) | ELK Stack</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
