<p><p><b>Role Overview :</b><br/><br/></p><p>We are seeking an experienced Linux Administrator (L3) to manage, configure, and optimize enterprise-level Linux and Solaris environments.<br/><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in storage solutions, patch management, performance tuning, and security hardening.<br/><br/></p><p>This role requires strong problem-solving skills, proactive monitoring, and the ability to lead complex infrastructure support with minimal supervision.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><b><br/></b></p><p><p><b>Linux & Solaris Administration :</b></p><p><br/></p>- Manage and administer Red Hat, CentOS, and Solaris servers.<br/><br/></p><p>- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability of critical services.<br/><br/><b>Storage Management (OSD & Ceph Storage) :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Configure, maintain, and optimize distributed storage systems.<br/><br/></p><p>- Manage OSD nodes and Ceph clusters for scalability and performance.<br/><br/><b>Patch Management (Satellite Patching) :</b></p><p><p><b><br/></b></p>- Perform patching and update activities using Red Hat Satellite.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure compliance with security and performance updates.<br/><br/><b>Web & Application Servers :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Configure and manage Apache HTTP Server, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.<br/><br/></p><p>- Implement best practices for high-availability setups.<br/><br/><b>Security & Compliance :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Manage user access controls, file permissions, and Linux firewall configurations.<br/><br/></p><p>- Perform system hardening and ensure compliance with security standards.<br/><br/><b>Backup & Disaster Recovery :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Design, implement, and test backup and recovery procedures.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ensure data integrity and availability during DR scenarios.<br/><br/><b>Container & Cloud Platforms (OpenShift) :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot OpenShift clusters.<br/><br/></p><p>- Support containerized application environments and CI/CD pipelines.<br/><br/><b>Incident & Problem Management :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Provide L3 level support for escalated incidents and complex problem resolution.<br/><br/></p><p>- Document processes, maintain SOPs, and ensure adherence to SLAs.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills & Qualifications :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Strong hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS/Ubuntu) and Solaris systems.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with Ceph Storage / OSD management.<br/><br/></p><p>- Expertise in Red Hat Satellite patching.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in Apache HTTP server configuration & tuning.<br/><br/></p><p>- Solid understanding of Linux security practices (firewalls, permissions, access control).<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience in backup & disaster recovery solutions.<br/><br/></p><p>- Working knowledge of OpenShift and container orchestration.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Ability to work independently and lead L2 engineers.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Qualifications :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or equivalent certification.<br/><br/></p><p>- Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, or Chef).<br/><br/></p><p>- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is an advantage.<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
