This role will lead a team of AI Engineers and Data Scientists while collaborating cross-functionally to drive business impact through intelligent, data-driven systems.
The ideal candidate has deep expertise in NLP, LLMs, and real-world AI implementation, with a strong foundation in software engineering and MLOps.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities : </b><br/><br/>- Team Leadership : Inspire and lead a team of AI Engineers and Data Scientists, fostering innovation, collaboration, and continuous development.<br/><br/></p><p>- Project Ownership : Take end-to-end responsibility for AI projectsfrom ideation and architecture to development, deployment, and monitoring.<br/><br/></p><p>- AI Development : Design and implement AI/ML models using Python, Scikit-Learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and other modern frameworks.<br/><br/></p><p>- NLP & LLMs : Build and optimize real-world applications leveraging Natural Language Processing and Large Language Models (LLMs).<br/><br/></p><p>- MLOps & Engineering : Develop and manage end-to-end ML pipelines, integrating with CI/CD systems, using tools like Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).<br/><br/></p><p>- System Architecture : Collaborate with software and data engineers to define robust and scalable architectures.<br/><br/></p><p>- Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with product managers, business teams, and engineers to </p><p>align AI initiatives with business goals.<br/><br/></p><p>- Risk Management : Identify project risks early, conduct root cause analyses, and implement mitigation strategies.<br/><br/></p><p>- Documentation & Standards : Ensure technical documentation and maintain coding best practices throughout the lifecycle.<br/><br/></p><p>- Mentorship & Growth : Coach junior team members, identify upskilling needs, and support their career development.<br/><br/><b>Required Qualifications : </b><br/><br/>- Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, AI, or a related field.<br/><br/></p><p>- 5+ years of hands-on experience in AI/ML or Data Science in real-world applications.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong experience in Python and libraries like NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc.<br/><br/></p><p>- Expertise in Natural Language Processing (preferred) or Computer Vision.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience building and deploying AI systems in production.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proficiency in ML frameworks : PyTorch, TensorFlow.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong understanding of Generative AI and practical experience with LLMs.<br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with web frameworks such as Flask, FastAPI, or Django.<br/><br/></p><p>- Cloud experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL, Git, CI/CD, and containerization tools like Docker.<br/><br/></p><p>- Solid grasp of software engineering principles and MLOps practices.<br/><br/></p><p>Preferred Qualifications : <br/><br/></p><p>- Experience with Big Data tools like Apache Spark, Kafka, Kinesis.<br/><br/></p><p>- Familiarity with cloud ML platforms such as AWS SageMaker or GCP ML Engine.<br/><br/></p><p>- Exposure to data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
