The Lead Embedded Engineer is a global V&V technical leadership position based at HTS-Madurai/BLR/HYD.
The individual will be responsible for technical leadership for one or more product lines in Aerospace Software V&V COE.
The selected candidate will provide technical leadership and strategic direction to meet the strategic goals of the software V&V organization.
This role involves coordination and collaboration across several functional teams, program management, engineering, certification, applications, and OEM customers.

Responsibilities:
- Business & Strategic:
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction to meet the strategic goals of the software V&V organization.
- Analyze competitive products and technologies and make appropriate suggestions (may use demos, POCs) to influence product/technology direction and innovation.
- Maintain a 'big and complete' picture view of the product, its dependencies, organizational goals, and the technology arena, guiding and directing the functioning of the software V&V organization.
- Technical Leadership:
- Lead the development of test architectures, test environments, test tools, and test methodologies for ongoing and upcoming programs, ensuring delivery within schedule, cost, and timelines.
- Drive simulation, test design, and execution automation strategies to reduce test development cost and cycle time.
- Make technical decisions on test architecture, test methodologies, tradeoffs/decisions/constraints, and collaborate with the PI, OEMs, and certification authorities for necessary approvals.
- Drive test approaches and tools to meet commonality and reuse strategies to reduce reapplication costs.
- Ensure a quality focus and synergize practices to achieve exceptional quality work products across programs.
- Drive common test methodologies across programs for the objectives of DO-178B/C (DO-331/332/330) and address the objectives based on program levels.
- Review and support SVP, PSAC planning documents, and SVCP/SVR/SAS cert documents.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Interface with the development or system team to understand the system/software architecture and design.
- Support CDR/PDR/Verification compliance audits to align with test strategy approaches.
- Mentor and train senior engineers on various types of testing.
- Provide technical guidance during the estimation process.
- Interact with certification authorities/OEMs to gain approvals for test methodologies/approaches.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a minimum of 10 years of experience in software development/verification.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Avionics/Controllers product lines for application/platform systems/software V&V or software design.
- Hands-on experience in the development of test environments and testing tools like Vector Cast, Vector Cover, or other structural coverage tools.
- Experience in the development/testing of embedded applications with hands-on experience in communication protocols.
