**What you’ll do:**
At Eaton India Innovation Center, Center for Secure Cyber-physical Systems is currently seeking a Engineer to join our team! This position is based at our office in Magarpatta City, Pune.
We are looking forward to an Engineer for Eaton’s Foreseer product who is Passionate to work in Software Domain and understands and inculcates Ethical values with Transparency.
He/She should be a quick learner and should easily adapt to upcoming technical domains and believe in leading the team from front.
He/She should be Efficient and take Accountability to assigned charter which fits in to overall Goals of software, web, desktop and database technologies and solutions.
He/She must have a keen eye for Quality and should be really passionate about meeting the deadlines.
As a Lead Engineer – DB Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining large-scale, high-performance data solutions within a dynamic business environment.
Leveraging your deep expertise in relational databases, ETL processes, and big data technologies, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Product and Algorithm groups—to transform raw data into actionable business insights.
You will drive continuous improvements in data quality, performance, and architecture, while mentoring others and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Your strong technical acumen, strategic mindset, and leadership skills will be essential in delivering robust, scalable solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.
**Qualifications:**
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering /Information Technology/Electronics Engineering from an accredited institution required.
• Preferred - Master’s Degree in Computer Science/Software Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 8 to 12 years of hands-on experience with at least one of the following systems: Greenplum, Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or Click House.
• Familiar with at least one of the following data processing tools: Python Pandas, SQL Alchemy, or Polars.
• Advanced SQL skills for working with relational databases, including performance tuning and troubleshooting.
**Skills:**
• Proficiency in SQL performance tuning and issue resolution.
• Extensive experience in processing large-scale and complex big data environments and Experience in Database Design.
• Proficient in resolving ETL performance issues in Linux environments.
• Proficient in star schema, snowflake schema, and Kimball data modeling methodologies.
• Participate in data quality management for the data warehouse, including data standards, consistency checks, anomaly handling, and tracing data lineage.
• Responsible for developing product features that collect, manage, and transform raw data into consumable and valuable business information.
Collaborate with the Algorithm team on data engineering as well as data science algorithm and feature development.
• Work closely with the Product team to fully understand business requirements and design effective data fulfillment solutions.
• Continuously enhance and improve the functionality of the existing Business Analysis Module.
• Continuously refine and optimize data collection, storage, and processing mechanisms within the current relational database.
• Deliver data and database reports as required to meet business needs.
• Perform and optimize ETL deployments.
• Deliver forward-thinking database code that is of high quality, performant, maintainable, and extensible.
• Master cutting-edge machine learning, business intelligence, and database technologies through strong self-learning capabilities, and apply this knowledge to effectively solve real-world software challenges.
Good to have
• Proven expertise in ETL performance optimization and efficient data ingestion, including the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust ETL pipelines using Python.
• Familiarity with at least one business intelligence or data visualization platform(Power BI, Superset or Tabular).
