About Position:

We seek a visionary Chief Architect to work on proposals, lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, cloud-native enterprise solutions across Java technologies, and define and execute a company-wide data strategy.

• This is a highly strategic, senior-level role ideal for an individual with a rare combination of deep technical acumen, leadership experience, and a business-oriented mindset.
• This role requires partnering closely with executive leadership, engineering teams, and clients to influence, lead, and implement future-ready architectures and data platforms to accelerate our digital transformation journey and deliver impactful outcomes to our clients.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Define and own the enterprise data strategy, setting the long-term vision and roadmap.
• Design and oversee the implementation of cloud-first, scalable data architectures, including data lakes, data warehouses, and real-time analytics platforms.
• Establish data governance, security, quality, and compliance standards across the organization.
• Drive data democratization, enabling business teams to make data-driven decisions.
• Solution Design & Technical Architecture.
• Design and architect robust, scalable, and high-performing solutions leveraging modern architectural patterns (microservices, event-driven, serverless).
• Lead architecture reviews, code quality assessments, and scalability evaluations for enterprise applications.
• Ensure architecture decisions align with business objectives, customer goals, and technical feasibility.
• Java Ecosystem Leadership
• Provide expert leadership in the Java ecosystem, including:
• Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, JPA Microservices architecture.
• RESTful APIs, messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ), and security frameworks.
• Containerized deployments using Docker, Kubernetes.
• Drive the modernization of legacy systems into cloud-native architectures.
• Leadership & Team Development.
• Lead and mentor a team of architects and senior engineers, fostering a high-performance, innovative, and collaborative culture.
• Build a center of excellence (CoE) around enterprise architecture and data strategy.
• Champion continuous learning and innovation across the team.
  
  Executive & Stakeholder Engagement.
• Collaborate with C-level executives and business stakeholders to embed data-driven thinking across the enterprise.
• Present complex technical strategies in a clear, compelling manner to clients and leadership teams.
• Partner with sales teams to scope large transformation opportunities and shape winning proposals.
  
  Strategic Initiatives & Innovation.
• Define and drive Persistent’s enterprise architecture strategy, aligning it with organizational growth and digital transformation.
• Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI/ML and GenAI, to future-proof architectures and improve business outcomes.
• Guide cloud migration strategies (AWS, Azure, GCP) and adoption of modern data platforms.
• Qualifications & Experience: Must-Have: 20+ years of experience in enterprise application architecture, with a significant focus on Java and data-driven solutions.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing large-scale data architectures (data lakes, warehousing, real-time pipelines).
• Strong background in Java ecosystem with experience in Spring Boot, Hibernate, Microservices, REST APIs.
• Prior experience in leading teams of architects and senior engineers across global delivery models.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including cloud-native services and migration strategies.
• Strong communication and executive stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels, including the C-suite.
• Preferred: Experience in AI/ML-driven applications or guiding AI strategy integration.
  
  Experience in domains like banking, healthcare, retail, or manufacturing is a plus.
  
  TOGAF or other architecture certifications.
