Responsibilities
Head the creation and development of Java-based applications with SQL, Spring, and Hibernate Work alongside interdisciplinary teams to conceptualize, design, and implement new features Author clean, scalable, and efficient code Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify code to enhance performance and scalability Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers on coding best practices and design principles Perform code reviews and ensure compliance with coding standards and guidelines Engage in requirement gathering and analysis Build and implement unit tests to confirm reliability and robustness Integrate software components and third-party applications Uphold code quality, organization, and automation Enhance applications for optimal speed and scalability Propel continuous enhancement by exploring alternatives and technologies Document development processes and monitor system performance Ensure alignment with security and data protection standards Oversee project schedules and deliverables
Requirements
Demonstrated experience as a Lead Java Developer with a minimum of 5 years in the field Minimum of 1 year in a leadership role Advanced programming expertise in Java with proficiency in object-oriented design principles Knowledge of Java frameworks such as DropWizard, Spring, and Hibernate In-depth understanding of SQL and experience with distributed storage systems like DB2, Oracle Knowledge of web development frameworks (Angular or React) Proficiency with code versioning tools, such as Git Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline Familiarity with Agile development practices Capability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Nice to have
Familiarity with MongoDB, Apache Cassandra, and other RDBMS Tools Knowledge of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Experience in Unix/Linux environments
