We are seeking a talented individual to join our Mercer Tech team at MMC Corporate .This role will be based in Gurgaon/ Noida.

This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

  • Lead and manage an engineering organization, overseeing team of developers to drive performance and innovation

  • Collaborate closely with AI specialists to implement LLMs and AI-driven features, leveraging context engineering techniques to optimize model performance and usability

  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and promote the principles of code reuse and modular design across teams and the organization

  • Work in partnership with the Lead Test Engineer to develop and implement a robust Test Engineering Strategy that incorporates AI-driven testing tools and methodologies

  • Champion agile practices that are foundational to successful product delivery, encouraging iterative development and continuous improvement

  • Foster a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative work environment where all ideas and opinions are valued, promoting innovation and creativity

  • Build strong relationships with product owners, solutions architects, analysts and leadership to ensure alignment with business objectives and the effective integration of AI capabilities into the development process

  • Contribute to thought leadership and strategic direction for the Software Engineering organization

  • What you need to have: 

    We are seeking a Lead Engineer with a proven track record of working on multiple products.

    The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with both technical and non-technical colleagues in a cross-functional environment, facilitating collaboration on different projects.

  • A successful history of delivering software across a diverse range of languages, technologies and platforms with a particular emphasis on AI integrations and their application in real-world scenarios

  • Excellent collaboration skills to form & drive innovative teams that embrace AI and machine learning as integral components of the development process

  • Experience in providing opportunities, training and mentorship to software engineers

  • Familiarity with Agile at Scale, Lean and Continuous Delivery methodologies, including Continuous Integration, Test-Driven Development and Infrastructure as Code with an understanding of how these practices can enhance development

  • Experience with cloud-native software architectures and deploying solutions in cloud environments, ensuring scalability and performance

  • Proven experience in security-driven design practices, with the ability to address SAST/DAST findings effectively

  • Proficiency in CI/CD and DevOps practices, including the use of Quality Gates to maintain high code quality

  • Experience in troubleshooting and leveraging the observability ecosystem, particularly with Datadog, to enhance application performance and reliability


  • Technical Skills or Qualifications Required:

  • Broad experience across multiple programming languages and frameworks with in-depth skills in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Typescript

  • Strong experience in one or more of the following frameworks Angular, NodeJS, Express.JS, NestJS

  • Experience working with the MEAN stack

  • Experience with Unit Testing and Integration Testing is also essential

  • Familiarity with AI frameworks and libraries (e.g., LangChain, FastMCP, etc.) is highly desirable

  • Experience in either of the following middleware is desirable Kafka, Camunda (or any workflow tool), RabbitMQ

  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Practiced experience refactoring, implementing design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, system and application design, application security

  • Strong experience working with an ORM Framework including the use of NOSQL databases such as Mongodb

  • Strong Knowledge of SDLC processes and practices and experience with some or all of Confluence, JIRA, ADO, Github etc.

  • Experience designing and deploying applications on cloud infrastructure with providers such as AWS or Microsoft Azure
