</p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience in contributing to open-source Mesa drivers is a big plus.
</p><p><br/></p><p>- Exposure to Video Codecs, color formats is an advantage.
Experience with source code control systems, with knowledge of git and gerrit being a strong plus.
</p><p><br/></p><p>- Ability to write high quality code and keep attention to details </p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience with software development and life time processes Excellent analytical, debugging and trouble-shooting skills </p><p><br/></p><p>- Effective organizational, communication and problem-solving skills.<br/><br/>We are seeking a Lead Media Frameworks Engineer with 7+ years of experience to join our team in Bangalore.
This is a contract position for 18-24 months.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in C/C++ development on Linux and expertise in media : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality code for media-related applications and frameworks on Linux.<br/><br/></p><p>- Utilize and contribute to tools such as GStreamer and FFmpeg.<br/><br/></p><p>- Develop and optimize media players on the Linux platform.<br/><br/></p><p>- Engage in the software development lifecycle, from initial design to deployment and maintenance.<br/><br/></p><p>- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.<br/><br/></p><p>- Debug and troubleshoot complex issues within media frameworks and drivers.<br/><br/></p><p>- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and performant media solutions.<br/><br/></p><p>- Manage and maintain code using source control systems, specifically Git and Skills & Experience : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- 7+ years of experience in software development.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong proficiency in C and C++ programming on Linux toolchains.<br/><br/></p><p>- Proven experience with GStreamer and FFmpeg.<br/><br/></p><p>- Solid background in developing media players on Linux.<br/><br/></p><p>- Deep understanding of video codecs and color formats.<br/><br/></p><p>- Extensive knowledge of source code control systems, with hands-on experience using Git and Gerrit.<br/><br/></p><p>- Excellent analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.<br/><br/></p><p>- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to writing high-quality, maintainable code.<br/><br/></p><p>- Effective communication, organizational, and problem-solving Qualifications : </b></p><p><br/></p><p>- Experience contributing to open-source Mesa drivers is highly desirable.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
