The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, proven leadership capabilities, and the ability to mentor and manage a team of developers.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>1.
Technical Leadership :<br/><br/>- Design, develop, and optimize robust, scalable, and secure APIs and backend services using Node JS and related technologies.<br/><br/>- Architect solutions that ensure high performance, low latency, and scalability for the eCommerce platform.<br/><br/>- Establish and enforce best practices, coding standards, and design principles.<br/><br/>2.
Team Management :<br/><br/>- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of software developers to achieve project goals and deliverables.<br/><br/>- Conduct regular Scrum meetings, periodic performance reviews, and overall team-building activities.<br/><br/>- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.<br/><br/>3.
Project Oversight :<br/><br/>- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, QA, and DevOps, to deliver end-to-end solutions.<br/><br/>- Plan, track, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones.<br/><br/>- Identify and mitigate risks, resolve issues, and drive successful project outcomes.<br/><br/>4.
Stakeholder Communication :<br/><br/>- Act as the technical point of contact for stakeholders to discuss project requirements, timelines, and progress.<br/><br/>- Prepare and present technical documentation and reports to senior management.<br/><br/><b>Required Skills and Qualifications :</b><br/><br/><b>1.
Technical Expertise :</b><br/><br/>- 12+ years of experience in software development, with at least 8 years specializing in Node JS and related technologies.<br/><br/>- Deep understanding of Node.js frameworks (e.g., Express.js) and their ecosystem.<br/><br/>- Proficient in building RESTful APIs and working with API Gateways.<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with microservices architecture, message queues (e.g.Pub-Sub, Kafka), and event-driven programming.<br/><br/>- Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB).<br/><br/>- Experience with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes).<br/><br/>Technical qualifications in the following areas :<br/><br/>- Node.js and Express.js for API development.<br/><br/>- MongoDB, Redis, and other NoSQL databases.<br/><br/>- Varnish, CDN and API Caching strategies.<br/><br/>- Strong focus on application security and secure coding practices.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud, Azure).<br/><br/><b>2.
Leadership and Team Management :</b><br/><br/>- Proven experience managing and mentoring development teams.<br/><br/>- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead and collaborate with a diverse team.<br/><br/>- Ability to resolve conflicts and maintain a productive team environment.<br/><br/>3.
Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills :<br/><br/>- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.<br/><br/>- Strong analytical mindset to evaluate, prioritize, and optimize development efforts.<br/><br/>4.
