<p><p><b>Role :</b> QA Automation Lead.<br/><br/><b>Role type :</b> Contract.<br/><br/><b>Location :</b> Gurgaon /- Hybrid.<br/><br/><b>Notice Period :</b> 15 Days or Less.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>The QA Lead will be part of the Engineering Product Team that is working on innovative loyalty-based solutions.<br/><br/>The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the quality strategy of products, design test plans, lead QA Engineers, and be responsible for the overall integration accuracy.<br/><br/>This role requires technical skills, including the ability to create, document, execute test strategies and test plans.<br/><br/>We use the agile methodology, which presents a fast paced and dynamic environment for rapid growth and wide experience.<br/><br/>We are seeking a talented & passionate Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team! It spans features such as subscriptions, administration, product integrations, external integrations, payment, content browsing and recommendation system.<br/><br/>- Be the lead and an expert on product quality.<br/><br/>- Define and implement testing and verification strategies.<br/><br/>- Responsible for individual contribution to end-to-end testing lifecycle, as well as, overseeing junior QA engineers (manual & automation).<br/><br/>- Understand the product/feature in-depth from end-user point of view and the underlyingimplementation.<br/><br/>- Align QA team member tasks & skills to meet expectations and deadlines.<br/><br/>- Gather test metrics & reports to convey overall project health to stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Follow up on bugs to closure<br/><br/>- Work closely with Engineering managers, Product Managers, Front End, and Backend developers to understand the feature and the implementation to derive and execute feature tests and impacted feature test cases.<br/><br/>- Execute test cases, debug failed test cases by analyzing logs and API responses and report bugs with details.<br/><br/>- Understand automation framework and add automation test cases for the new/existing features and regression test cases.<br/><br/>- Execute & maintain UI (Web, Mobile app) and API automation suites.<br/><br/>- Debug and correct script and data issues in automation suites.<br/><br/>- Work in fast-paced environment on multiple projects / initiatives.<br/><br/>- Own documentation that communicates the standards and procedures.<br/><br/>- Has explored or worked with Open AI and its tools.<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with Playwright framework is mandatory (minimum 2 years).<br/><br/><b>KPIs :</b><br/><br/>- Ensure the QA team member tasks and output are aligned with priorities & expectations.<br/><br/>- Take ownership of the projects, review its requirements and be able to identify test conditions.<br/><br/>- To create comprehensive test plans and test cases.<br/><br/>- Lead the communication with other functional team members when issues arise during smoke/regression testing to get clarification.<br/><br/>- Perform weekly smoke and regression testing for teams features on top of routine testing of bug-fixes or feature development by engineers.<br/><br/>- Mentor and support Junior QA Engineers to bring them up to speed with their tasks<br/><br/>- Enable growth of QA team skillset.<br/><br/>- Perform day-to-day tasks with minimum supervision.<br/><br/>- And being proactive when it comes to enhancing the communication between Developers, QA engineers and other stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Participate in Scrum meetings and ceremonies to ensure smooth communication and expectations between QA and engineering team.<br/><br/><b>Must haves :</b><br/><br/>- Strong Playwright expertise is required for this role.<br/><br/>- Candidates without demonstrable experience will not be considered.<br/><br/>- 8 - 10 Years of experience in testing in a medium or large-scale agile software development environment for Cloud, SaaS, or Web applications, as well as experience testing APIs.<br/><br/>- Strong programming skills in JavaScript/TypeScript.<br/><br/>- Minimum of 2 years of experience in test automation, with a focus on Playwright.<br/><br/>- 3 years of experience overseeing, mentoring, or managing junior QA engineers.<br/><br/>- Solid understanding of web app development, common user interface guidelines/standards.<br/><br/>- Experience with designing, planning, and implementing test plans, test scenarios, and leading software QA processes.<br/><br/>- Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of web services, its common HTTP methods, and JSON formats.<br/><br/>- Experience with Azure or other project tracking tools.<br/><br/>- Excellent team player and good communication skills and mentorship mentality.<br/><br/>- Keen eye to detail and have solid initiative to raise alarms when necessary.<br/><br/>- Exposure to Playwright, Selenium, Postman,Cross Browser, QA automation frameworks and relevant testing tools for web/mobile applications.<br/><br/>- Exposure to writing UI automation tests for Web Apps.<br/><br/><b>About Timus Consulting services :</b><br/><br/>Timus Consulting is a leading EnterpriseTech and Business Consulting firm, providing an extensive array of services including Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance (GRC) solutions, Software Development, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions, Cloud Consulting, Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions, and Managed Services.<br/><br/><b>Our people and culture :</b><br/><br/>Our diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture empowers our people to be who they are, contribute their unique perspectives, and make a difference individually and collectively.<br/><br/>It enables us to leverage different ideas and perspectives, and bring more creativity and innovation to help solve our client most complex challenges<br/></p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
