Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with product teams to implement solutions in the SFCC platform in an agile environment.

  • Build and maintain features in Salesforce Commerce Cloud.

  • Design, code, unit test, and review iterative improvements in SFCC.

  • Integrate Commerce Cloud with 3rd party/back-end systems.

  • Manage code deployment and version control.

  • Perform code reviews and unit tests.

  • Perform proof of concept tasks in partnership with the Technical Architect.

  • Provide development support from design through testing and deployment.

  • Analyze and improve site speed and stability.


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science,
  • Information Technology, or a related field.

    Equivalent practical experience may be considered in place of a degree.
  • 3-4 years of hands-on experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) / Demandware development, with a consistent track record of delivering complex e-commerce solutions.
  • 4-5 years of experience with front-end technologies such as JavaScript/JSON, jQuery, AJAX, HTML5, SHTML, CSS/SASS, with a focus on building responsive and mobile-first designs.

  • Proficient in developing server-side scripts using SFCC’s platform capabilities (ISML templates, pipelines, controllers, and scripts).
  • Strong knowledge of SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) and its customization principles.
  • Expertise in RESTful API integrations and connecting SFCC with third-party systems such as payment gateways, inventory systems, or customer data platforms.
  • Experience with **version control systems** like Git, ensuring proper branching and release management.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment best practices within the Salesforce Commerce Cloud ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience in performance optimization techniques, including caching, lazy loading, and reducing time-to-first-byte (TTFB).
  • Knowledge of Salesforce B2C Commerce operational tasks like job scheduling, site configuration, and promotion setup.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving performance or functionality issues.
  • Excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in multi-functional teams including product managers, architects, QA, and business collaborators.
  • Ability to communicate sophisticated technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with headless commerce architecture and integration with CMS or front-end frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or other Salesforce products for comprehensive customer experiences.
  • Experience with performance monitoring tools like New Relic or Dynatrace.
  • Understanding of SEO standard processes and their impact on e-commerce performance.
