<p><p><b>Description :</b><br/><br/>About the Role :<br/><br/>We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Software Development Engineer in Test to drive quality assurance initiatives by leading both manual and automated testing efforts.<br/><br/>In this leadership role, you will manage a team of QA engineers, define testing strategies, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.<br/><br/>You will work closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to design test frameworks, implement automation, and foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement.<br/><br/><b>Key Responsibilities :</b><br/><br/>- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of manual and automation test engineers.<br/><br/>- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies covering functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.<br/><br/>- Develop, review, and maintain robust test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts to ensure maximum test coverage.<br/><br/>- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test scenarios.<br/><br/>- Drive the design and implementation of scalable, maintainable automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or equivalent.<br/><br/>- Oversee manual testing efforts to validate complex workflows, user experience, and edge cases.<br/><br/>- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster release cycles.<br/><br/>- Analyze test results, report defects, and work closely with development teams to facilitate quick resolution.<br/><br/>- Establish and monitor quality metrics to measure the effectiveness of testing efforts and identify areas for improvement.<br/><br/>- Promote best practices in software quality assurance and testing methodologies across teams.<br/><br/>- Coordinate cross-team testing activities and manage risks to ensure on-time delivery of quality products.<br/><br/>- Stay updated with the latest testing tools, trends, and technologies to continuously enhance testing processes.<br/><br/><b>Qualifications :</b><br/><br/>- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.<br/><br/>- 7+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a leadership or lead role.<br/><br/>- Strong expertise in both manual and automated testing methodologies.<br/><br/>- Proficient in automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, or similar.<br/><br/>- Hands-on experience with programming/scripting languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.<br/><br/>- Experience in designing and implementing automation frameworks and integrating them with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).<br/><br/>- Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and quality assurance best practices.<br/><br/>- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex testing scenarios.<br/><br/>- Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.<br/><br/>- Experience with performance and security testing is a plus.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI) and database testing is desirable</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
