<p><p><b>Description :</b></p><br/><p>We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer with a minimum of 6+ years of professional experience to join our engineering team.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on capacity while also guiding and mentoring junior engineers.
You will spend approximately 80% of your time building and delivering code and 20% coaching and enabling your team.
</p><p><br/></p><p>Our technology stack includes React, TypeScript, Zod, Fastify, ElasticSearch, and modern Database ORMs. As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for architecting solutions, enforcing engineering best practices, and driving technical excellence across the team.</p><br/><p><b>Responsibilities :</b></p><br/><p>- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Fastify, TypeScript, and ORMs (optional).</p><br/><p>- Build and optimise frontend applications using React and Zod for schema validation.</p><br/><p>- Write high-quality, testable, and maintainable code that adheres to coding standards.</p><br/><p>- Lead technical discussions, participate in code reviews, and ensure high delivery quality.</p><br/><p>- Provide guidance to junior developers, fostering growth and technical excellence.</p><br/><p>- Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and development workflows (e.
g., Biome/ESLint, Prettier, CI/CD pipelines).</p><br/><p>- Encourage knowledge sharing and collaborative problem-solving within the team.</p><br/><p>- Own and drive the architecture of scalable systems with a focus on performance, security, and maintainability.</p><br/><p>- Evaluate trade-offs and propose pragmatic solutions to business and technical challenges.</p><br/><p>- Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders.</p><br/><p>- Implement observability, error handling, and monitoring for production systems.</p><br/><p>- Contribute to incident management, root cause analysis, and preventive measures.</p><br/><p>- Continuously improve developer productivity and CI/CD processes.</p><br/><p><b>Requirements :</b></p><br/><p>- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.</p><br/><p>- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and modern JavaScript.</p><br/><p>- Solid hands-on experience with React for frontend development.</p><br/><p>- Experience with Fastify (or similar Node.js frameworks) for backend APIs.</p><br/><p>- Practical knowledge of Zod or similar validation libraries.</p><br/><p>- Proficiency with ElasticSearch and designing efficient queries.</p><br/><p>- Experience with at least one Database ORM (Prisma, TypeORM, Sequelize, etc.).</p><br/><p>- Proven ability to design scalable systems and services.</p><br/><p>- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.</p><br/><p>- Experience working in monorepo setups.</p><br/><p>- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).</p><br/><p>- Understanding of testing frameworks (Jest, Vitest, Playwright).</p><br/><p>- Experience with performance tuning in React, Fastify, and ElasticSearch.</p><br/><p>- Strong communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.</p><br/></p> (ref:hirist.tech)
