<p><b>Summary/ Objective :</b><br/><br/></p><p>This job is to be part of the dynamic Payment switching product development team which caters to the needs of the Fintech space.<br/><br/>The core technology expected is Java with Spring framework.<br/><br/><b>Essential Functions :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Will be responsible for hands-on development and integrating REST-based applications.<br/><br/>- Will own part of a module/subsystem end-to-end, detailed design, development, unit testing, and repository release.<br/><br/>- Developing, implementing, and maintaining Java based components and interfaces and documentation.<br/><br/>- Develop unit-tests which meet our internal code-coverage metrics.<br/><br/>- Actively participate in the design of modules, features, and systems.<br/><br/>- Recommending solutions by comparing advantages and disadvantages of custom development vs using open source and commercial alternatives.<br/><br/>- Technical documentation on high-level and low-level design with technical implementation information for other stakeholders.<br/><br/>- Contribute positively to the teams technical growth, sharing your technical knowledge by interacting with your peers in the day-by-day activities.<br/><br/>- Analyse user requirements to determine how to translate into Java Debug and resolving technical issues.<br/><br/>- Continually engage in professional development.<br/><br/><b>Competencies :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Spring frameworks like Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Cloud for developing a web application, REST APIs Microservices.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of tools for unit testing, integration testing, and automation testing like Junit, Cucumber and Mockito.<br/><br/>- Familiar with some key APIs like JSON processing APIs like Jackson and Gson, XML processing APIs like JAXB and Xerces.<br/><br/>- Will be good to have knowledge over JIT, JVM options, Garbage collections, and collectors, etc.<br/><br/>- Java 8 features like lambdas and Streams to rewrite patterns like Strategy patterns.<br/><br/>- Source control tools: Git, Subversion, TFS.<br/><br/>- Familiarity with databases (egMySQL, MongoDB), web servers (egApache) and UI/UX design.<br/><br/>- Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (egC#, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (egAngular, React, Nodejs) will be a great addition.<br/><br/><b>Roles and Key KPIs :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.<br/><br/>- Design client-side and server-side architecture.<br/><br/>- Design scalable solution with detailed technical documentation.<br/><br/>- Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications.<br/><br/>- Write effective APIs.<br/><br/>- Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency.<br/><br/>- Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software.<br/><br/><b>Preferred Education and Experience :</b><br/><br/></p><p>- Bachelors degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or related field and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.</p><p><br/></p><p>- Requires 3-4 years of qualifying work experience in information technology or engineering environment, preferably from payment gateways/fintech.</p> (ref:hirist.tech)
