As a core technical contributor, you will be responsible for implementing critical technology solutions across multiple technical domains, supporting various business functions to achieve the firm's business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experienceHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability in cloud-based environmentsProficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods using Python and AWS toolsAdvanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and securitySpecialized in Python full stack development, web applications, microservices, and cloud technologiesProficiency in Python, Flask or Django, RESTful APIs, React JS, Typescript, AWS RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL), NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB, SQL, and AWS messaging services including SNS, SQS, or KafkaStrong understanding of distributed systems, integration methods, security, and RESTful APIsExperience with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudFormation, IAM, as well as Terraform, Jenkins, Spinnaker or similar CI/CD tools, code coverage and quality tools, and GITStrong working experience implementing web application security concepts, OAuth, and developing automated unit, integration, and performance tests
